Vayiqra (Leviticus) 21:1 – 24:23
Vayiqra (Leviticus) 21
- And Yahuah said unto Mosheh, Speak unto the priests the sons of Aharon, and say unto them, There shall none be defiled for the dead among his people:
- But for his kin, that is near unto him, that is, for his mother, and for his father, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother.
- And for his sister a virgin, that is nigh unto him, which hath had no husband; for her may he be defiled.
- But he shall not defile himself, being a chief man among his people, to profane himself.
- They shall not make baldness upon their head, neither shall they shave off the corner of their beard, nor make any cuttings in their flesh.
- They shall be set-apart unto their Elohiym, and not profane the name of their Elohiym: for the offerings of Yahuah made by fire, and the bread of their Elohiym, they do offer: therefore they shall be set-apart.
- They shall not take a wife that is a whore, or profane; neither shall they take a woman put away from her husband: for he is set-apart unto his Elohiym.
- Thou shalt sanctify him therefore; for he offereth the bread of thy Elohiym: he shall be set-apart unto thee: for I Yahuah, which sanctify you, am set-apart.
- And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire.
- And he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes;
- Neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother;
- Neither shall he go out of the את sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his Elohiym; for the crown of the anointing oil of his Elohiym is upon him: I am Yahuah.
- And he shall take a wife in her virginity.
- A widow, or a divorced woman, or profane, or an harlot, these shall he not take: but he shall take a virgin of his own people to wife.
- Neither shall he profane his seed among his people: for I Yahuah do sanctify him.
- And Yahuah spake unto Mosheh, saying,
- Speak unto Aharon, saying, Whosoever he be of thy seed in their generations that hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his Elohiym.
- For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous,
- Or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded,
- Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken;
- No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aharon the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of Yahuah made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the את bread of his Elohiym.
- He shall eat the bread of his Elohiym, both of the most set-apart, and of the set-apart.
- Only he shall not go in unto the vail, nor come nigh unto the altar, because he hath a blemish; that he profane not my sanctuaries: for I Yahuah do sanctify them.
- And Mosheh told it unto Aharon, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Yashar’el.
Vayiqra (Leviticus) 22
- And Yahuah spake unto Mosheh, saying,
- Speak unto Aharon and to his sons, that they separate themselves from the set-apart things of the children of Yashar’el, and that they profane not My set-apart name in those things which they hallow unto Me: I am Yahuah.
- Say unto them, Whosoever he be of all your seed among your generations, that goeth unto the set-apart things, which the children of Yashar’el hallow unto Yahuah, having his uncleanness upon him, that soul shall be cut off from My presence: I am Yahuah.
- What man soever of the seed of Aharon is a leper, or hath a running issue; he shall not eat of the set-apart things, until he be clean. And whoso toucheth any thing that is unclean by the dead, or a man whose seed goeth from him;
- Or whosoever toucheth any creeping thing, whereby he may be made unclean, or a man of whom he may take uncleanness, whatsoever uncleanness he hath;
- The soul which hath touched any such shall be unclean until even, and shall not eat of the set-apart things, unless he wash his flesh with water.
- And when the sun is down, he shall be clean, and shall afterward eat of the set-apart things; because it is his food.
- That which dieth of itself, or is torn with beasts, he shall not eat to defile himself therewith; I am Yahuah.
- They shall therefore guard Mine ordinance, lest they bear sin for it, and die therefore, if they profane it: I Yahuah do sanctify them.
- There shall no stranger eat of the set-apart thing: a sojourner of the priest, or an hired servant, shall not eat of the set-apart thing.
- But if the priest buy any soul with his money, he shall eat of it, and he that is born in his house: they shall eat of his meat.
- If the priest’s daughter also be married unto a stranger, she may not eat of an offering of the set-apart things.
- But if the priest’s daughter be a widow, or divorced, and have no child, and is returned unto her father’s house, as in her youth, she shall eat of her father’s meat: but there shall be no stranger eat thereof.
- And if a man eat of the set-apart thing unwittingly, then he shall put the fifth part thereof unto it, and shall give it unto the priest with the set-apart thing.
- And they shall not profane the set-apart things of the children of Yashar’el, את which they offer unto Yahuah;
- Or suffer them to bear the iniquity of trespass, when they eat their set-apart things: for I Yahuah do sanctify them.
- And Yahuah spake unto Mosheh, saying,
- Speak unto Aharon, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Yashar’el, and say unto them, Whatsoever he be of the house of Yashar’el, or of the strangers in Yashar’el, that will offer his oblation for all his vows, and for all his freewill offerings, which they will offer unto Yahuah for an ascending smoke offering;
- Ye shall offer at your own will a male without blemish, of the beeves, of the sheep, or of the goats.
- But whatsoever hath a blemish, that shall ye not offer: for it shall not be acceptable for you.
- And whosoever offereth a sacrifice of peace offerings unto Yahuah to accomplish his vow, or a freewill offering in beeves or sheep, it shall be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no blemish therein.
- Blind, or broken, or maimed, or having a wen, or scurvy, or scabbed, ye shall not offer these unto Yahuah, nor make an offering by fire of them upon the altar unto Yahuah.
- Either a bullock or a lamb that hath any thing superfluous or lacking in his parts, that mayest thou offer for a freewill offering; but for a vow it shall not be accepted.
- Ye shall not offer unto Yahuah that which is bruised, or crushed, or broken, or cut; neither shall ye make any offering thereof in your land.
- Neither from a stranger’s hand shall ye offer the bread of Elohaykem of any of these; because their corruption is in them, and blemishes be in them: they shall not be accepted for you.
- And Yahuah spake unto Mosheh, saying,
- When a bullock, or a sheep, or a goat, is brought forth, then it shall be seven days under the dam; and from the eighth day and thenceforth it shall be accepted for an offering made by fire unto Yahuah.
- And whether it be cow, or ewe, ye shall not kill it and her young both in one day.
- And when ye will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto Yahuah, offer it at your own will.
- On the same day it shall be eaten up; ye shall leave none of it until the morrow: I am Yahuah.
- Therefore shall ye guard My commandments, and do them: I am Yahuah.
- Neither shall ye profane My set-apart name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Yashar’el: I am Yahuah which hallow you,
- That brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim, to be Elohaykem: I am Yahuah.
Vayiqra (Leviticus) 23
- And Yahuah spake unto Mosheh, saying,
- Speak unto the children of Yashar’el, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of Yahuah, which ye shall proclaim to be set-apart assemblies, even these are My feasts.
- Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the Shabbath of rest, a set-apart assembly; ye shall do no work therein: it is the Shabbath of Yahuah in all your dwellings.
- These are the feasts of Yahuah, even set-apart assemblies, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.
- In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is Yahuah’s Pesach.
- And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Matstsah unto Yahuah: seven days ye must eat matstsah.
- In the first day ye shall have a set-apart assembly: ye shall do no servile work therein.
- But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yahuah seven days: in the seventh day is a set-apart assembly: ye shall do no servile work therein.
- And Yahuah spake unto Mosheh, saying,
- Speak unto the children of Yashar’el, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:
- And he shall wave the sheaf before Yahuah, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the Shabbath the priest shall wave it.
- And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for an ascending smoke offering unto Yahuah.
- And the oblation thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto Yahuah for a sweet savour: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin.
- And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto Elohaykem: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
- And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the Shabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Shabbaths shall be complete:
- Even unto the morrow after the seventh Shabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new oblation unto Yahuah.
- Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals; they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto Yahuah.
- And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for an ascending smoke offering unto Yahuah, with their oblation, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto Yahuah.
- Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings.
- And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits for a wave offering before Yahuah, with the two lambs: they shall be set-apart to Yahuah for the priest.
- And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be a set-apart assembly unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.
- And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am Yahuah Elohaykem.
- And Yahuah spake unto Mosheh, saying,
- Speak unto the children of Yashar’el, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a Shabbath, a memorial of blowing of shofars, a set-apart assembly.
- Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yahuah.
- And Yahuah spake unto Mosheh, saying,
- Also on the tenth day of this seventh month is Yom Kippuriym (Day of Atonement): it shall be a set-apart assembly unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto Yahuah.
- And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is Yom Kippuriym, to make an atonement for you before Yahuah Elohaykem.
- For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.
- And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.
- Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
- It shall be unto you a Shabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your Shabbath.
- And Yahuah spake unto Mosheh, saying,
- Speak unto the children of Yashar’el, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the Feast of Sukkoth (Tabernacles) for seven days unto Yahuah.
- On the first day shall be a set-apart assembly: ye shall do no servile work therein.
- Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yahuah: on the eighth day shall be a set-apart assembly unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yahuah: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.
- These are the feasts of Yahuah, which ye shall proclaim to be set-apart assemblies, to offer an offering made by fire unto Yahuah, an ascending smoke offering, and a oblation, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day:
- Beside the Shabbaths of Yahuah, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto Yahuah.
- Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall guard a feast unto Yahuah seven days: on the first day shall be a Shabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a Shabbath.
- And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before Yahuah Elohaykem seven days.
- And ye shall guard it a feast unto Yahuah seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.
- Ye shall dwell in sukkah seven days; all that are Yashar’el born shall dwell in sukkah:
- That your generations may know that I made the children of Yashar’el to dwell in sukkah, when I brought them out of the land of Mitsrayim: I am Yahuah Elohaykem.
- And Mosheh declared unto the children of Yashar’el the feasts of Yahuah.
Vayiqra (Leviticus) 24
- And Yahuah spake unto Mosheh, saying,
- Command the children of Yashar’el, that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually.
- Without the vail of the testimony, in the tabernacle of the assembly, shall Aharon order it from the evening unto the morning before Yahuah continually: it shall be a statute for ever in your generations.
- He shall order the lamps upon the pure menorah before Yahuah continually.
- And thou shalt take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes thereof: two tenth deals shall be in one cake.
- And thou shalt set them in two rows, six on a row, upon the pure table before Yahuah.
- And thou shalt put pure frankincense upon each row, that it may be on the bread for a memorial, even an offering made by fire unto Yahuah.
- Every Shabbath he shall set it in order before Yahuah continually, being taken from the children of Yashar’el by an everlasting covenant.
- And it shall be Aharon’s and his sons’; and they shall eat it in the set-apart place: for it is most set-apart unto him of the offerings of Yahuah made by fire by a perpetual statute.
- And the son of an Yashar’e’liyth woman, whose father was an Mitsriy, went out among the children of Yashar’el: and this son of the Yashar’e’liyth woman and a man of Yashar’el strove together in the camp;
- And the Yashar’e’liyth woman’s son blasphemed the name of Yahuah, and cursed. And they brought him unto Mosheh: (and his mother’s name was Shelomiyth, the daughter of Divriy, of the tribe of Dan:)
- And they put him in ward, that the mind of Yahuah might be shewed them.
- And Yahuah spake unto Mosheh, saying,
- Bring forth him that hath cursed without the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, and let all the assembly stone him.
- And thou shalt speak unto the children of Yashar’el, saying, Whosoever curseth his Elohiym shall bear his sin.
- And he that blasphemeth the name of Yahuah, he shall surely be put to death, and all the assembly shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of Yahuah, shall be put to death.
- And he that killeth any man shall surely be put to death.
- And he that killeth a beast shall make it good; beast for beast.
- And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbour; as he hath done, so shall it be done to him;
- Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him again.
- And he that killeth a beast, he shall restore it: and he that killeth a man, he shall be put to death.
- Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am Yahuah Elohaykem.
- And Mosheh spake to the children of Yashar’el, that they should bring forth him that had cursed out of the camp, and stone him with stones. And the children of Yashar’el did as Yahuah commanded Mosheh.
Haftarah Emor (אֱמֹ֥ר) – “Speak”
Yechezq’el (Ezekiel) 44:1 thru 45:25
Yechezq’el (Ezekiel) 44
- Then he brought me back the way of the gate of the outward sanctuary which looketh toward the east; and it was shut.
- Then said Yahuah unto me; This gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it; because Yahuah, the Elohiym of Yashar’el, hath entered in by it, therefore it shall be shut.
- It is for the prince; the prince, he shall sit in it to eat bread before Yahuah; he shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate, and shall go out by the way of the same.
- Then brought he me the way of the north gate before the house: and I looked, and, behold, the glory of Yahuah filled the house of Yahuah: and I fell upon my face.
- And Yahuah said unto me, son of A’dam, mark well, and behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears all that I say unto thee concerning all the ordinances of the house of Yahuah, and all the Torah thereof; and mark well the entering in of the house, with every going forth of the sanctuary.
- And thou shalt say to the rebellious, even to the house of Yashar’el, Thus saith Adonai Yahuah; O ye house of Yashar’el, let it suffice you of all your abominations,
- In that ye have brought into My sanctuary strangers, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in My sanctuary, to pollute it, even My house, when ye offer My bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken My covenant because of all your abominations.
- And ye have not kept the charge of Mine set-apart things: but ye have set keepers of My charge in My sanctuary for yourselves.
- Thus saith Adonai Yahuah; No stranger, uncircumcised in heart, nor uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into My sanctuary, of any stranger that is among the children of Yashar’el.
- And the Leviyiym that are gone away far from Me, when Yashar’el went astray, which went astray away from Me after their idols; they shall even bear their iniquity.
- Yet they shall be ministers in My sanctuary, having charge at the gates of the house, and ministering to the house: they shall slay the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister unto them.
- Because they ministered unto them before their idols, and caused the house of Yashar’el to fall into iniquity; therefore have I lifted up Mine hand against them, saith Adonai Yahuah, and they shall bear their iniquity.
- And they shall not come near unto Me, to do the office of a priest unto Me, nor to come near to any of My set-apart things, in the most set-apart place: but they shall bear their shame, and their abominations which they have committed.
- But I will make them keepers of the charge of the house, for all the service thereof, and for all that shall be done therein.
- But the priests the Leviyiym, the sons of Zadok, that kept the charge of My sanctuary when the children of Yashar’el went astray from Me, they shall come near to Me to minister unto Me, and they shall stand before Me to offer unto Me the fat and the blood, saith Adonai Yahuah:
- They shall enter into My sanctuary, and they shall come near to My table, to minister unto Me, and they shall keep My charge.
- And it shall come to pass, that when they enter in at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments; and no wool shall come upon them, whiles they minister in the gates of the inner court, and within.
- They shall have linen bonnets upon their heads, and shall have linen breeches upon their loins; they shall not gird themselves with any thing that causeth sweat.
- And when they go forth into the utter court, even into the utter court to the people, they shall put off their garments wherein they ministered, and lay them in the set-apart chambers, and they shall put on other garments; and they shall not sanctify the people with their garments.
- Neither shall they shave their heads, nor suffer their locks to grow long; they shall only poll their heads.
- Neither shall any priest drink wine, when they enter into the inner court.
- Neither shall they take for their wives a widow, nor her that is put away: but they shall take maidens of the seed of the house of Yashar’el, or a widow that had a priest before.
- And they shall teach My people the difference between the set-apart and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.
- And in controversy they shall stand in judgment; and they shall judge it according to My judgments: and they shall keep My Torah and My statutes in all Mine assemblies; and they shall hallow My Shabbaths.
- And they shall come at no dead person to defile themselves: but for father, or for mother, or for son, or for daughter, for brother, or for sister that hath had no husband, they may defile themselves.
- And after he is cleansed, they shall reckon unto him seven days.
- And in the day that he goeth into the sanctuary, unto the inner court, to minister in the sanctuary, he shall offer his sin offering, saith Adonai Yahuah.
- And it shall be unto them for an inheritance: I am their inheritance: and ye shall give them no possession in Yashar’el: I am their possession.
- They shall eat the oblation, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering: and every dedicated thing in Yashar’el shall be theirs.
- And the first of all the firstfruits of all things, and every oblation of all, of every sort of your oblations, shall be the priest’s: ye shall also give unto the priest the first of your dough, that he may cause the blessing to rest in thine house.
- The priests shall not eat of any thing that is dead of itself, or torn, whether it be fowl or beast.
Yechezq’el (Ezekiel) 45
- Moreover, when ye shall divide by lot the land for inheritance, ye shall offer an oblation unto Yahuah, an set-apart portion of the land: the length shall be the length of five and twenty thousand reeds, and the breadth shall be ten thousand. This shall be set-apart in all the borders thereof round about.
- Of this there shall be for the sanctuary five hundred in length, with five hundred in breadth, square round about; and fifty cubits round about for the suburbs thereof.
- And of this measure shalt thou measure the length of five and twenty thousand, and the breadth of ten thousand: and in it shall be the sanctuary and the most set-apart place.
- The set-apart portion of the land shall be for the priests the ministers of the sanctuary, which shall come near to minister unto Yahuah: and it shall be a place for their houses, and an set-apart place for the sanctuary.
- And the five and twenty thousand of length, and the ten thousand of breadth shall also the Leviyiym, the ministers of the house, have for themselves, for a possession for twenty chambers.
- And ye shall appoint the possession of the city five thousand broad, and five and twenty thousand long, over against the oblation of the set-apart portion: it shall be for the whole house of Yashar’el.
- And a portion shall be for the prince on the one side and on the other side of the oblation of the set-apart portion, and of the possession of the city, before the oblation of the set-apart portion, and before the possession of the city, from the west side westward, and from the east side eastward: and the length shall be over against one of the portions, from the west border unto the east border.
- In the land shall be his possession in Yashar’el: and my princes shall no more oppress my people; and the rest of the land shall they give to the house of Yashar’el according to their tribes.
- Thus saith Adonai Yahuah; Let it suffice you, O princes of Yashar’el: remove violence and spoil, and execute judgment and justice, take away your exactions from My people, saith Adonai Yahuah.
- Ye shall have just balances, and a just ephah, and a just bath.
- The ephah and the bath shall be of one measure, that the bath may contain the tenth part of an homer, and the ephah the tenth part of an homer: the measure thereof shall be after the homer.
- And the shekel shall be twenty gerahs: twenty shekels, five and twenty shekels, fifteen shekels, shall be your maneh.
- This is the oblation that ye shall offer; the sixth part of an ephah of an homer of wheat, and ye shall give the sixth part of an ephah of an homer of barley:
- Concerning the ordinance of oil, the bath of oil, ye shall offer the tenth part of a bath out of the cor, which is an homer of ten baths; for ten baths are an homer:
- And one lamb out of the flock, out of two hundred, out of the fat pastures of Yashar’el; for a oblation, and for a burnt offering, and for peace offerings, to make reconciliation for them, saith Adonai Yahuah.
- All the people of the land shall give this oblation for the prince in Yashar’el.
- And it shall be the prince’s part to give burnt offerings, and oblations, and drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the new moons, and in the Shabbaths, in all solemnities of the house of Yashar’el: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the oblation, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation for the house of Yashar’el.
- Thus saith Adonai Yahuah; In the first month, in the first day of the month, thou shalt take a young bullock without blemish, and cleanse the sanctuary:
- And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering, and put it upon the posts of the house, and upon the four corners of the settle of the altar, and upon the posts of the gate of the inner court.
- And so thou shalt do the seventh day of the month for every one that erreth, and for him that is simple: so shall ye reconcile the house.
- In the first month, in the fourteenth day of the month, ye shall have the passover, a feast of seven days; unleavened bread shall be eaten.
- And upon that day shall the prince prepare for himself and for all the people of the land a bullock for a sin offering.
- And seven days of the feast he shall prepare a burnt offering to Yahuah, seven bullocks and seven rams without blemish daily the seven days; and a kid of the goats daily for a sin offering.
- And he shall prepare a oblation of an ephah for a bullock, and an ephah for a ram, and an hin of oil for an ephah.
- In the seventh month, in the fifteenth day of the month, shall he do the like in the feast of the seven days, according to the sin offering, according to the burnt offering, and according to the oblation, and according to the oil.
Brit Ha’Dasha Emor (אֱמֹ֥ר) – “Speak”
Eph’siym (Ephesians) 2:1-22 & 1st Kepha (Peter) 2:1-25
Eph’siym (Ephesians) 2:1-22
- And you hath He quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
- Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the ruach that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
- Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
- But Elohiym, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us,
- Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Mashiach, (by grace ye are saved;)
- And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Mashiach Yahusha:
- That in the ages to come He might shew the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Mashiach Yahusha.
- For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of Elohiym:
- Not of works, lest any man should boast.
- For we are His workmanship, created in Mashiach Yahusha unto good works, which Elohiym hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
- Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past the other nations in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
- That at that time ye were without Mashiach, being aliens from the commonwealth of Yashar’el, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without Elohiym in the world:
- But now in Mashiach Yahusha ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Mashiach.
- For He is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
- Having abolished in His flesh the enmity, even the commands contained in dogma; for to make in Himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
- And that He might reconcile both unto Elohiym in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
- And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
- For through Him we both have access by one Ruach unto the Father.
- Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of Elohiym;
- And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Yahusha Ha’Mashiach Himself being the chief corner stone;
- In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto a set-apart Temple in Yahuah:
- In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of Elohiym through the Ruach.
1st Kepha (Peter) 2:1-25
- Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
- As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
- If so be ye have tasted that Yahuah is gracious.
- To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of Elohiym, and precious,
- Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, a set-apart priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to Elohiym by Yahusha Ha’Mashiach.
- Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on Him shall not be confounded.
- Unto you therefore which believe He is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
- And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
- But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a set-apart nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light;
- Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of Elohiym: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
- Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
- Having your conversation honest among the other nations: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify Elohiym in the day of visitation.
- Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for Yahuah’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
- Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
- For so is the will of Elohiym, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
- As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of Elohiym.
- Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear Elohiym. Honour the king.
- Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.
- For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward Elohiym endure grief, suffering wrongfully.
- For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with Elohiym.
- For even hereunto were ye called: because Mashiach also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow His steps:
- Who did no sin, neither was guile found in His mouth:
- Who, when He was reviled, reviled not again; when He suffered, He threatened not; but committed Himself to Him that judgeth righteously:
- Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
- For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
