- And the children of Yashar’el did according to all that Yahuah commanded Mosheh, so did they.
Bemidbar (Numbers) 2
- And Yahuah spake unto El-Mosheh and unto El-Aharon, saying,

- And the children of Yashar’el did according to all that Yahuah commanded Mosheh: so they pitched by their standards, and so they set forward, every one after their families, according to the house of their fathers.
Bemidbar (Numbers) 3
- These also are the generations of Aharon and Mosheh in the day that Yahuah spake with Mosheh in Mount Sinai.
- And these are the names of the sons of Aharon; Nadav the firstborn, and Aviyhu, El’azar, and Iythamar.
- These are the names of the sons of Aharon, the priests which were anointed, whom he consecrated to minister in the priest’s office.
- And Nadav and Aviyhu died before Yahuah, when they offered strange fire before Yahuah, in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children: and El’azar and Iythamar ministered in the priest’s office in the sight of Aharon their father.
- And Yahuah spake unto Mosheh, saying,
- Bring the tribe of Leviy near, and present them before Aharon the priest, that they may minister unto him.
- And they shall guard his charge, and the charge of the whole assembly before the tabernacle of the assembly, to do the service of the tabernacle.
- And they shall guard all the instruments of the tabernacle of the assembly, and the charge of the children of Yashar’el, to do the service of the tabernacle.
- And thou shalt give the Leviyiym unto Aharon and to his sons: they are wholly given unto him out of the children of Yashar’el.
- And thou shalt appoint Aharon and his sons, and they shall wait on their priest’s office: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.
- And Yahuah spake unto El-Mosheh, saying,
- And I, behold, I have taken the Leviyiym from among the children of Yashar’el instead of all the firstborn that openeth the matrix among the children of Yashar’el: therefore the Leviyiym shall be Mine;
- Because all the firstborn are Mine; for on the day that I smote all the firstborn in the land of Mitsrayim I hallowed unto Me all the firstborn in Yashar’el, both man and beast: Mine shall they be: I am Yahuah.
- And Yahuah spake unto Mosheh in the wilderness of Sinai, saying,
- Number the children of Leviy after the house of their fathers, by their families: every male from a month old and upward shalt thou number them.
- And Mosheh numbered them according to the word of Yahuah, as he was commanded.
- And these were the sons of Leviy by their names; Gershon, and Qohath, and Merariy.
- And these are the names of the sons of Gershon by their families; Livniy, and Shimei.
- And the sons of Qohath by their families; Amram, and Izehar, Hebron, and Uzziy’el.
- And the sons of Merariy by their families; Mahli, and Mushi. These are the families of the Leviyiym according to the house of their fathers.
- Of Gershon was the family of the Libniym, and the family of the Shimiym: these are the families of the Gershoniym.
- Those that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, even those that were numbered of them were seven thousand and five hundred.
- The families of the Gershoniym shall pitch behind the tabernacle westward.
- And the chief of the house of the father of the Gershoniym shall be Eliasaph the son of Lael.
- And the charge of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of the assembly shall be the tabernacle, and the tent, the covering thereof, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the assembly,
- And the hangings of the court, and the curtain for the door of the court, which is by the tabernacle, and by the altar round about, and the cords of it for all the service thereof.
- And of Qohath was the family of the Amramiym, and the family of the Izehariym, and the family of the Hebroniym, and the family of the Uzzieliym: these are the families of the Qohathiym.
- In the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, were eight thousand and six hundred, guarding the charge of the sanctuary.
- The families of the sons of Qohath shall pitch on the side of the tabernacle southward.
- And the chief of the house of the father of the families of the Qohathiym shall be Elizaphan the son of Uzziel.
- And their charge shall be the Ark, and the table, and the menorah, and the altars, and the vessels of the sanctuary wherewith they minister, and the hanging, and all the service thereof.
- And El’azar the son of Aharon the priest shall be chief over the chief of the Leviyiym, and have the oversight of them that guard the charge of the sanctuary.
- Of Merariy was the family of the Mahliym, and the family of the Mushiym: these are the families of Merariy.
- And those that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, were six thousand and two hundred.
- And the chief of the house of the father of the families of Merariy was Zuriel the son of Abihail: these shall pitch on the side of the tabernacle northward.
- And under the custody and charge of the sons of Merariy shall be the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and the sockets thereof, and all the vessels thereof, and all that serveth thereto,
- And the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords.
- But those that encamp before the tabernacle toward the east, even before the tabernacle of the assembly eastward, shall be Mosheh, and Aharon and his sons, guarding the charge of the sanctuary for the charge of the children of Yashar’el; and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.
- All that were numbered of the Leviyiym, which Mosheh and Aharon numbered at the commandment of Yahuah, throughout their families, all the males from a month old and upward, were twenty and two thousand.
- And Yahuah said unto Mosheh, Number all the firstborn of the males of the children of Yashar’el from a month old and upward, and take the את number of their names.
- And thou shalt take the Leviyiym for Me (I am Yahuah) instead of all the firstborn among the children of Yashar’el; and the cattle of the Leviyiym instead of all the firstlings among the cattle of the children of Yashar’el.
- And Mosheh numbered, as Yahuah commanded him, all the firstborn among the children of Yashar’el.
- And all the firstborn males by the number of names, from a month old and upward, of those that were numbered of them, were twenty and two thousand two hundred and threescore and thirteen.
- And Yahuah spake unto Mosheh, saying,
- Take the Leviyiym instead of all the firstborn among the children of Yashar’el, and the cattle of the Leviyiym instead of their cattle; and the Leviyiym shall be Mine: I am Yahuah.
- And את for those that are to be redeemed of the two hundred and threescore and thirteen of the firstborn of the children of Yashar’el, which are more than the Leviyiym;
- Thou shalt even take five shekels apiece by the poll, after the shekel of the sanctuary shalt thou take them: (the shekel is twenty gerahs:)
- And thou shalt give the money, wherewith the odd number of them is to be redeemed, unto Aharon and to his sons.
- And Mosheh took את the redemption money of them that were over and above them that were redeemed by the Leviyiym:
- Of the firstborn of the children of Yashar’el took he the money; a thousand three hundred and threescore and five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary:
- And Mosheh gave the money of them that were redeemed unto Aharon and to his sons, according to the word of Yahuah, as Yahuah commanded Mosheh.
Bemidbar (Numbers) 4:1-20
- And Yahuah spake unto El-Mosheh and unto El-Aharon, saying,
- Take the sum of the sons of Qohath from among the sons of Leviy, after their families, by the house of their fathers,
- From thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all that enter into the host, to do the work in the tabernacle of the assembly.
- This shall be the service of the sons of Qohath in the tabernacle of the assembly, about the most set-apart things:
- And when the camp setteth forward, Aharon shall come, and his sons, and they shall take down את the covering vail, and cover את the Ark of testimony with it:
- And shall put thereon the covering of antelope skins, and shall spread over it a cloth wholly of blue, and shall put in the staves thereof.
- And upon the table of shewbread they shall spread a cloth of blue, and put thereon the dishes, and the spoons, and the bowls, and את covers to cover withal: and the continual bread shall be thereon:
- And they shall spread upon them a cloth of scarlet, and cover the same with a covering of antelope skins, and shall put in the staves thereof.
- And they shall take a cloth of blue, and cover the menorah of the light, and his lamps, and his tongs, and his snuffdishes, and את all the oil vessels thereof, wherewith they minister unto it:
- And they shall put it and all the vessels thereof within a covering of antelope skins, and shall put it upon a bar.
- And upon the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of antelope skins, and shall put to the staves thereof:
- And they shall take all the instruments of ministry, wherewith they minister in the sanctuary, and put them in a cloth of blue, and cover them with a covering of antelope skins, and shall put them on a bar:
- And they shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth thereon:
- And they shall put upon it all the vessels thereof, wherewith they minister about it, even the censers, the fleshhooks, and the shovels, and the basons, all the vessels of the altar; and they shall spread upon it a covering of antelope skins, and put to the staves of it.
- And when Aharon and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Qohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch any set-apart thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Qohath in the tabernacle of the assembly.
- And to the office of El’azar the son of Aharon the priest pertaineth the oil for the light, and the sweet incense, and the daily oblation, and the anointing oil, and the oversight of all the tabernacle, and of all that therein is, in the sanctuary, and in the vessels thereof.
- And Yahuah spake unto El-Mosheh and unto El-Aharon saying,
- Cut ye not off the tribe of the families of the Qohathiym from among the Leviyiym:
- But thus do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach unto the most set-apart things: Aharon and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden:
- But they shall not go in to see when the set-apart things are covered, lest they die.
Haftarah Bemidbar (בְּמִדְבַּ֥ר) – “In The Wilderness”
Husha (Hosea) 2:1-23
- Say ye unto your brethren, Ammi; and to your sisters, Ruhamah.
- Plead with your mother, plead: for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband: let her therefore put away her whoredoms out of her sight, and her adulteries from between her breasts;
- Lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst.
- And I will not have mercy upon her children; for they be the children of whoredoms.
- For their mother hath played the harlot: she that conceived them hath done shamefully: for she said, I will go after my lovers, that give me my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, mine oil and my drink.
- Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and make a wall, that she shall not find her paths.
- And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now.
- For she did not know that I gave her grain, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, which they prepared for Ba’al.
- Therefore will I return, and take away My grain in the time thereof, and My wine in the season thereof, and will recover My wool and My flax given to cover her nakedness.
- And now will I discover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of Mine hand.
- I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her Shabbaths, and all her solemn feasts.
- And I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, whereof she hath said, These are my rewards that my lovers have given me: and I will make them a forest, and the beasts of the field shall eat them.
- And I will visit upon her the days of Ba’alim, wherein she burned incense to them, and she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers, and forgat Me, saith Yahuah.
- Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her.
- And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Mitsrayim.
- And it shall be at that day, saith Yahuah, that thou shalt call Me Ishiy; and shalt call Me no more Ba’aliy.
- For I will take away the names of Ba’aliym out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.
- And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely.
- And I will betroth thee unto Me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto Me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.
- I will even betroth thee unto Me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know Yahuah.
- And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith Yahuah, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth;
- And the earth shall hear the grain, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hear Jezreel.
- And I will sow her unto Me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not My people, Thou art My people; and they shall say, Thou art my Elohiym.
Brit Ha’Dasha Bemidbar (בְּמִדְבַּ֥ר) – “In The Wilderness”
Romayim (Romans) 9:22-33
- 22. What if Elohiym, willing to shew His wrath, and to make His power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
- 23. And that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had afore prepared unto glory,
- 24. Even us, whom He hath called, not of the Yahudiym only, but also of the other nations?
- 25. As He saith also in Osee, I will call them My people, which were not My people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.
- 26. And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not My people; there shall they be called the children of the living Elohiym.
- 27. Yesha’yahu also crieth concerning Yashar’el, Though the number of the children of Yashar’el be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:
- 28. For He will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will Yahuah make upon the earth.
- 29. And as Yesha’yahu said before, Except Yahuah of Tseva’oth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodom, and been made like unto Gomorrha.
- 30. What shall we say then? That the other nations, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.
- 31. But Yashar’el, which followed after the Torah of righteousness, hath not attained to the Torah of righteousness.
- 32. Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the Torah. For they stumbled at that stumbling stone;
- 33. As it is written, Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.
