Bemidbar (Numbers) 25:10 – 29:40

Bemidbar (Numbers) 25:10

  • 10. And Yahuah spake unto Mosheh, saying,
  • 11. Piynechas, the son of El’azar, the son of Aharon the priest, hath turned My wrath away from the children of Yashar’el, while he was zealous for My sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Yashar’el in My jealousy.
  • 12. Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him My covenant of peace:
  • 13. And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his Elohiym, and made an atonement for the children of Yashar’el.
  • 14. Now the name of the Yashar’e’liy that was slain, even that was slain with the Midyianiyth woman, was Zimriy, the son of Salu, a prince of a chief house among the Shim’oniym.
  • 15. And the name of the Midyianiyth woman that was slain was Kozbiy, the daughter of Zur; he was head over a people, and of a chief house in Midiyan.
  • 16. And Yahuah spake unto Mosheh, saying,
  • 17. Vex the Midyaniym, and smite them:
  • 18. For they vex you with their wiles, wherewith they have beguiled you in the matter of Pe’or, and in the matter of Kozbiy, the daughter of a prince of Midiyan, their sister, which was slain in the day of the plague for Pe’or’s sake.

  4. Why should the name of our father be done away from among his family, because he hath no son? Give unto us therefore a possession among the brethren of our father.
  5. And Mosheh brought their cause before Yahuah.
  6. And Yahuah spake unto Mosheh, saying,
  7. The daughters of Zelophechad speak right: thou shalt surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father’s brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them.

  9. And if he have no daughter, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his brethren.
  10. And if he have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his father’s brethren.

  13. And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as Aharon thy brother was gathered.
  14. For ye rebelled against My commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the assembly, to sanctify Me at the water before their eyes: that is the water of Meriyvah in Qadesh in the wilderness of Zin.
  15. And Mosheh spake unto Yahuah, saying,
  16. Let Yahuah, the Elohai of the ruachoth of all flesh, set a man over the assembly,
  17. Which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the assembly of Yahuah be not as sheep which have no shepherd.
  18. And Yahuah said unto Mosheh, Take thee Yahusha the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Ruach, and lay thine hand upon him;
  19. And set him before El’azar the priest, and before all the assembly; and give him a charge in their sight.
  20. And thou shalt put some of thine honour upon him, that all the assembly of the children of Yashar’el may be obedient.
  21. And he shall stand before El’azar the priest, who shall ask counsel for him after the judgment of Uriym before Yahuah: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Yashar’el with him, even all the assembly.
  22. And Mosheh did as Yahuah commanded him: and he took Yahusha, and set him before El’azar the priest, and before all the assembly:

Haftarah Piynechas (פִּֽינְחָ֨ס) – “Piynechas”

Mal’akiy (Malachi) 2:1 – 3:18

Mal’akiy (Malachi) 2

  1. And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you.
  2. If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto My name, saith Yahuah Tseva’oth, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
  3. Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take you away with it.
  4. And ye shall know that I have sent את this commandment unto you, that My covenant might be with Leviy, saith Yahuah Tseva’oth.
  5. My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared Me, and was afraid before My name.
  6. The Torah of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with Me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity.
  7. For the priest’s lips should guard knowledge, and they should seek the Torah at his mouth: for he is the messenger of Yahuah Tseva’oth.
  8. But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the Torah; ye have corrupted the covenant of Leviy, saith Yahuah Tseva’oth.
  9. Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept My ways, but have been partial in the Torah.
  10. Have we not all one Father? hath not one Elohiym created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?
  11. Yahudah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Yashar’el and in Yerushalayim; for Yahudah hath profaned the set-apartness of Yahuah which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange el.
  12. Yahuah will cut off the man that doeth this, the master and the scholar, out of the tabernacles of Ya’aqov, and him that offereth an offering unto Yahuah Tseva’oth.
  13. And this have ye done again, covering the altar of Yahuah with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that He regardeth not the offering any more, or receiveth it with good will at your hand.
  14. Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because Yahuah hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.
  15. And did not He make one? Yet had he the residue of the ruach. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your ruach, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.
  16. For Yahuah, the Elohiym of Yashar’el, saith that He hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith Yahuah Tseva’oth: therefore take heed to your ruach, that ye deal not treacherously.
  17. Ye have wearied Yahuah with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied Him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of Yahuah, and He delighteth in them; or, Where is the Elohiym of judgment?

Mal’akiy (Malachi) 3

  1. Behold, I will send My messenger, and he shall prepare the way before Me: and Yahuah, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to His temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, He shall come, saith Yahuah Tseva’oth.
  2. But who may abide the day of His coming? and who shall stand when He appeareth? for He is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:
  3. And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and He shall purify the sons of Leviy, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto Yahuah an offering in righteousness.
  4. Then shall the offering of Yahudah and Yerushalayim be pleasant unto Yahuah, as in the days of old, and as in former years.
  5. And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not Me, saith Yahuah Tseva’oth.
  6. For I am Yahuah, I change not; therefore ye sons of Ya’aqov are not consumed.
  7. Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from Mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto Me, and I will return unto you, saith Yahuah Tseva’oth. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?
  8. Will a man rob Elohiym? Yet ye have robbed Me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed Thee? In tithes and offerings.
  9. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed Me, even this whole nation.
  10. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in Mine house, and prove Me now herewith, saith Yahuah Tseva’oth, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
  11. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith Yahuah Tseva’oth.
  12. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith Yahuah Tseva’oth.
  13. Your words have been stout against Me, saith Yahuah. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against Thee?
  14. Ye have said, It is vain to serve Elohiym: and what profit is it that we have kept His ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before Yahuah Tseva’oth?
  15. And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt Elohiym are even delivered.
  16. Then they that feared Yahuah spake often one to another: and Yahuah hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for them that feared Yahuah, and that thought upon His name.
  17. And they shall be Mine, saith Yahuah Tseva’oth, in that day when I make up My jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
  18. Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth Elohiym and him that serveth him not.

Brit Ha’dasha Piynechas (פִּֽינְחָ֨ס) – “Piynechas”

1st Qorintiym (Corinthians) 10

  1. Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
  2. And were all baptized unto Mosheh in the cloud and in the sea;
  3. And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
  4. And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Mashiach.
  5. But with many of them Elohiym was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
  6. Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
  7. Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
  8. Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
  9. Neither let us tempt Mashiach, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
  10. Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
  11. Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
  12. Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
  13. There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but Elohiym is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
  14. Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
  15. I speak as to wise men; judge ye את what I say.
  16. The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Mashiach? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Mashiach?
  17. For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
  18. Behold Yashar’el after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?
  19. What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?
  20. But I say, that the things which the other nations sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to Elohiym: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
  21. Ye cannot drink the cup of Yahuah, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of Yahuah’s table, and of the table of devils.
  22. Do we provoke Yahuah to jealousy? are we stronger than He?
  23. All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
  24. Let no man seek his own, but every man another’s wealth.
  25. Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question for conscience sake:
  26. For the earth is Yahuah’s, and the fulness thereof.
  27. If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake.
  28. But if any man say unto you, this is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is Yahuah’s, and the fulness thereof:
  29. Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man’s conscience?
  30. For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks?
  31. Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of Elohiym.
  32. Give none offence, neither to the Yahudiym, nor to the other nations, nor to the called-out assembly of Elohiym:
  33. Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.
