Devariym (Deuteronomy) 29:9 – 30:20
Devariym (Deuteronomy) 29:9
- 9. Guard therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that ye may prosper אֵ֖ת in all that ye do.
- 10. Ye stand this day all of you before Yahuah Elohaykem; your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, with all the men of Yashar’el,
- 11. Your little ones, your wives, and thy stranger that is in thy camp, from the hewer of thy wood unto the drawer of thy water:
- 12. That thou shouldest enter into covenant with Yahuah Elohayka, and into His oath, which Yahuah Elohayka cutteth with thee this day:
- 13. That He may establish thee to day for a people unto Himself, and that He may be unto thee an Elohiym, as He hath said unto thee, and as He hath sworn unto thy fathers, to Avraham, to Yitschaq, and to Ya’aqov.
- 14. Neither with you only do I cut this covenant and this oath;
- 15. But with him that standeth here with us this day before Yahuah Elohaynu, and אֵ֖ת also with him that is not here with us this day:
- 16. (For ye know אֵ֖ת how we have dwelt in the land of Mitsrayim; and אֵ֖ת how we came through the nations which ye passed by;
- 17. And ye have seen their abominations, and אֵ֖ת their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them:)
- 18. Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from Yahuah Elohaynu, to go and serve the elohiym of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;
- 19. And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:
- 20. Yahuah will not spare him, but then the anger of Yahuah and His jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and Yahuah shall blot out his name from under heaven.
- 21. And Yahuah shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of Yashar’el, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the Torah:
- 22. So that the generation to come of your children that shall rise up after you, and the stranger that shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses which Yahuah hath laid upon it;
- 23. And that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sedom, and Amorrah, Admah, and Tseviyiym, which Yahuah overthrew in His anger, and in His wrath:
- 24. Even all nations shall say, Wherefore hath Yahuah done thus unto this land? what meaneth the heat of this great anger?
- 25. Then men shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of Yahuah Elohai of their fathers, which He made with them when He brought them forth out of the land of Mitsrayim:
- 26. For they went and served other elohiym, and worshipped them, elohiym whom they knew not, and whom He had not given unto them:
- 27. And the anger of Yahuah was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book:
- 28. And Yahuah rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.
- 29. The secret things belong unto Yahuah Elohaynu: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this Torah.
Devariym (Deuteronomy) 30
- And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither Yahuah Elohayka hath driven thee,
- And shalt return unto Yahuah Elohayka, and shalt obey His voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;
- That then Yahuah Elohayka will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither Yahuah Elohayka hath scattered thee.
- If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will Yahuah Elohayka gather thee, and from thence will He fetch thee:
- And Yahuah Elohayka will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and He will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.
- And Yahuah Elohayka will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love Yahuah Elohayka with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.
- And Yahuah Elohayka will put אֵ֖ת all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.
- And thou shalt return and obey the voice of Yahuah, and do all His commandments which I command thee this day.
- And Yahuah Elohayka will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for Yahuah will again rejoice over thee for good, as He rejoiced over thy fathers:
- If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of Yahuah Elohayka, to guard His commandments and His statutes which are written in this book of the Torah, and if thou turn unto El-Yahuah Elohayka with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
- For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
- It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
- Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
- But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.
- See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;
- In that I command thee this day to love Yahuah Elohayka, to walk in His ways, and to guard His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and Yahuah Elohayka shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
- But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other elohiym, and serve them;
- I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Yardan to go to possess it.
- I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
- That thou mayest love Yahuah Elohayka, and that thou mayest obey His voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto Him: for He is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which Yahuah sware unto thy fathers, to Avraham, to Yitschaq, and to Ya’aqov, to give them.
Haftarah Nitzaviym (נִצָּבִים) – “Stand”
Yechezq’el (Ezekiel) 36:16-38
- 16. Moreover the Word of Yahuah came unto me, saying,
- 17. Son of A’dam, when the house of Yashar’el dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own way and by their doings: their way was before Me as the uncleanness of a removed woman.
- 18. Wherefore I poured My fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and for their idols wherewith they had polluted it:
- 19. And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them.
- 20. And when they entered unto the heathen, whither they went, they profaned My set-apart name, when they said to them, These are the people of Yahuah, and are gone forth out of His land.
- 21. But I had pity for Mine set-apart name, which the house of Yashar’el had profaned among the heathen, whither they went.
- 22. Therefore say unto the house of Yashar’el, thus saith Adonai Yahuah; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Yashar’el, but for Mine set-apart name’s sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.
- 23. And I will sanctify My great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am Yahuah, saith Adonai Yahuah, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
- 24. For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
- 25. Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
- 26. A new heart also will I give you, and a new ruach will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
- 27. And I will put My Ruach within you, and cause you אֵ֖ת to walk in My statutes, and ye shall guard My judgments, and do them.
- 28. And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be My people, and I will be your Elohiym.
- 29. I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the grain, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.
- 30. And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen.
- 31. Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.
- 32. Not for your sakes do I this, saith Adonai Yahuah, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Yashar’el.
- 33. Thus saith Adonai Yahuah; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be builded.
- 34. And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by.
- 35. And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited.
- 36. Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I Yahuah build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I Yahuah have spoken it, and I will do it.
- 37. Thus saith Adonai Yahuah; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Yashar’el, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock.
- 38. As the set-apart flock, as the flock of Yerushalayim in her solemn feasts; so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men: and they shall know that I am Yahuah.

Romaiym (Romans) 10:6-21
- 6. But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Mashiach down from above:)
- 7. Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Mashiach again from the dead.)
- 8. But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
- 9. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Adonai Yahusha, and shalt believe in thine heart that Elohiym hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
- 10. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto yeshu’ah (salvation).
- 11. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.
- 12. For there is no difference between the Yahudiy and the Yavaniy (Greek): for the same Yahuah over all is rich unto all that call upon Him.
- 13. For whosoever shall call upon the name of Yahuah shall be saved.
- 14. How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
- 15. And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the besorah of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
- 16. But they have not all obeyed the besorah. For Yesha’yahu saith, Yahuah, who hath believed our report?
- 17. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of Elohiym.
- 18. But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
- 19. But I say, Did not Yashar’el know? First Mosheh saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.
- 20. But Yesha’yahu is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought Me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after Me.
- 21. But to Yashar’el He saith, All day long I have stretched forth My hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.
