Daily Readings
1stday (Sunday) – Shemoth (Exodus) 13:17–14:14 – When Pharaoh had sent out אֶת the people, Elohiym did not lead Yashar’el by the shorter way through the land of the Pelishtiym, but by the wilderness toward the Red Sea, knowing the people might turn back in fear if they faced war; Mosheh carries אֶת the bones of Yoceph according to his oath, and Yahuah continually goes before them in a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night; Yahuah commands Mosheh to camp before the sea so that Pharaoh will believe Yashar’el is trapped; Yahuah hardens אֶת Pharaoh’s heart, and he pursues the children of Yashar’el with his mighty army; seeing the Mitsriym approaching, the people fear greatly and cry unto Yahuah, complaining against Mosheh; Mosheh encourages them, saying, “Fear ye not, stand still, and see אֶת the yeshu’a (salvation) of Yahuah,” declaring that Yahuah Himself will fight for them while they hold their peace.
Shofetiym (Judges) 4:1–24 – After the death of Ehud, the children of Yashar’el again do evil before Yahuah and are delivered into the hand of Yaviyn king of Kena’an; Deborah the prophetess judges Yashar’el and summons Baraq to gather the armies of Naphtaliy and Zevulun according to the commandment of Yahuah; Deborah prophesies that Sisera will be delivered into the hand of a woman; Yahuah discomfits Sisera and his mighty army before Baraq, while Ya’el courageously slays Sisera with the tent peg, fulfilling the word spoken by Deborah; Elohiym subdues Yaviyn before Yashar’el and gives His people victory over their oppressors.
2ndday (Monday) – Shemoth (Exodus) 14:15–31 – Yahuah commands Mosheh to tell the children of Yashar’el to go forward; Mosheh stretches out אֶת his rod over the sea, and Yahuah divides אֶת the sea by a mighty east wind, making a path of dry ground; the Angel of Elohiym and the pillar of cloud move behind Yashar’el, separating them from the Mitsriym and giving light to His people while bringing darkness upon their enemies; the children of Yashar’el pass safely through the midst of the sea while the Mitsriym pursue after them; Yahuah troubles אֶת the army of Mitsrayim, removes אֶת their chariot wheels, and causes confusion among them; at Yahuah’s command Mosheh stretches forth אֶת his hand, the waters return, and all Pharaoh’s army is destroyed; Yahuah saves אֶת Yashar’el that day, and the people fear אֶת Yahuah and believe Yahuah and His servant Mosheh.
Yochanon (John) 6:15–35 – Yahusha withdraws alone after the people seek to make Him king by force; He walks upon the sea to His talmidiym, calming their fear; afterward He teaches the multitude not to labor merely for food that perishes but for the food that endures unto everlasting life; recalling the manna given through Mosheh, Yahusha declares that His Father now gives the true Bread from heaven, revealing, “I am the Bread of Life; he that cometh to Me shall never hunger.”
3rdday (Tuesday) – Shemoth (Exodus) 15:1–21 – Mosheh and the children of Yashar’el sing אֶת this song unto Yahuah, exalting Yahuah for His mighty victory over Pharaoh and his armies; Yahuah is praised as the strength, song, and yeshu’a (salvation) of His people, whose right hand shatters the enemy; the nations hear and tremble because of Yahuah’s mighty works, while His redeemed people are led toward His set apart habitation; Miryam the prophetess leads the women with timbrels and dancing as they sing, “Sing ye to Yahuah, for He hath triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider hath He thrown into the sea.”
Shofetiym (Judges) 5:1–31 – Deborah and Baraq sing a song of praise unto Yahuah for delivering Yashar’el from Sisera; the song recounts Yahuah’s majesty as He marches forth for His people, honors the tribes that willingly offered themselves, rebukes those who remained indifferent, blesses Ya’el for her courage, and concludes by declaring, “So let all Thine enemies perish, O Yahuah: but let them that love Him be as the sun when he goeth forth in his might,” after which the land enjoys forty years of rest.
4thday (Wednesday) – Shemoth (Exodus) 15:22–16:12 – Yahuah leads Yashar’el into the wilderness where they find the bitter waters of Marah; after Mosheh cries unto Yahuah, He shows him a tree that makes the waters sweet and establishes statutes, promising that He will not put any of these diseases upon them because , “I am Yahuah Rophe’ka,” if they will diligently hear His voice, guard His commandments, and walk in His ways; after encamping at Eylim, the assembly journeys into the wilderness of Siyn and murmurs against Mosheh and Aharon because of hunger; Yahuah declares that He will rain bread from heaven to prove whether they will walk in His Torah, while promising meat in the evening and bread in the morning so they may know that He is Yahuah Elohaykem.
Yochanon (John) 6:36–59 – Yahusha reveals that all whom the Father gives Him will come unto Him and that He has come to do the Father’s will; He teaches that He is the Living Bread which came down from heaven, greater than the manna eaten in the wilderness, for those who eat of Him shall live forever; Yahusha declares that His flesh and blood bring eternal life to those who abide in Him, revealing the deeper fulfillment of the heavenly bread provided by Yahuah.
5thday (Thursday) – Shemoth (Exodus) 16:13–36 – Yahuah provides quail in the evening and manna with the morning dew, commanding every man to gather according to his need; those who attempt to keep it overnight contrary to His command find that it breeds worms and stinks, while on the sixth day Yahuah provides a double portion in preparation for the set apart Shabbath; He rebukes those who refuse to guard His commandments and His Torah by seeking manna on the seventh day, declaring that He has given them the Shabbath; an omer of manna is preserved before the Testimony for future generations as a witness of Yahuah’s faithful provision, and the children of Yashar’el did eat אֶת manna forty years in the wilderness.
1st Qorintiym (Corinthians) 10:1–6 – Sha’ul reminds the assembly that all the fathers passed through the sea, were immersed unto Mosheh in the cloud and in the sea, ate the same ruach food, and drank from the ruach Rock, and that Rock was Mashiach; nevertheless many displeased Elohiym through unbelief and disobedience, making these events examples that believers should not desire evil as they did.
6thday (Friday) – Shemoth (Exodus) 17:1–16 – At Rephiydiym the people again murmur because there is no water, testing אֶת Yahuah by asking whether He is among them; Yahuah commands Mosheh to strike the rock at Chorev, and life-giving water flows forth for the assembly; the place is called Massah and Meriyvah because Yashar’el tested אֶת Yahuah; Amaleq attacks the weary nation, and Yahusha leads the battle while Mosheh, Aharon, and Chur stand upon the hill; whenever Mosheh lifts up his hands Yashar’el prevails, and when his hands grow weary Aharon and Chur support them until sunset; Yahusha defeats אֶת Amaleq, and Yahuah commands Mosheh to record the victory as a memorial, declaring that He will blot out אֶת the remembrance of Amaleq from under heaven; Mosheh builds an altar called Yahuah Nissy, proclaiming that Yahuah will have war with Amaleq from generation to generation.
Main Themes & Commandments
Trusting Yahuah Plan Instead of Human Understanding
When Yahuah delivered Yashar’el from Mitsrayim, He intentionally did not lead them by the shortest or easiest route. Instead, He guided them through the wilderness toward the Red Sea because He knew what they were not yet prepared to face. Although His path appeared more difficult, it was the path of protection, preparation, and complete dependence upon Him. Even when Yashar’el found themselves trapped between Pharaoh’s army and the sea, Yahuah was already accomplishing His purpose by displaying His power, glorifying His Name, and revealing Himself as their Deliverer. The pillar of cloud and the pillar of fire continually testified that Yahuah remained with His people, leading them every step of the journey. Believers today are likewise called to trust Yahuah’s wisdom above their own understanding, recognizing that His direction accomplishes far greater purposes than we can perceive.
Shemoth (Exodus) 13:17-18 – “And it came to pass, When Pharaoh had Sent אֶת the people Out, that Elohiym led them not through the way of the land of the Pelishtiym, although that was near; for Elohiym said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Mitsrayim: But Elohiym led אֶת the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red Sea: and the children of Yashar’el went up harnessed out of the land of Mitsrayim.”
Shemoth (Exodus) 13:21-22 – “And Yahuah went before their faces by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them in the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the faces of the people.”
Mishlei (Proverbs) 3:5-6 – “Trust in Yahuah with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.”
Yesha’yahu (Isaiah) 55:8-9 – “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith Yahuah. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.”
Yochanon (John) 10:27 – “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”
**Yahuah’s ways are always perfect, even when they seem longer, harder, or beyond our understanding. The commandment is to trust Him completely, follow His leading without murmuring or fear, and believe that His path is always working for His glory and the good of those who obey Him.
Yahuah Provides for Those Who Walk in Obedience to His Commandments
Throughout Beshalach, Yahuah repeatedly proves Himself to be the faithful Provider of His covenant people Yashar’el. He sweetens the bitter waters of Marah, promises healing for those who diligently obey His voice, sends quail and manna from heaven, and provides water from the rock when the people thirst. Yet every provision also becomes a test of obedience. The manna was not merely food; it revealed whether Yashar’el would walk in His Torah by gathering only what He commanded and by guarding the set apart Shabbath. Yahuah’s provision has always been connected with faith, obedience, and daily dependence upon Him rather than self-sufficiency. Yahusha later reveals that the manna pointed to Himself, the true Bread from heaven, upon whom believers must continually depend for eternal life.
Shemoth (Exodus) 15:26 – “And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of Yahuah Elohaykem, and wilt do that which is right in His sight, and wilt give ear to His commandments, and guard all His statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Mitsriym: for I am Yahuah Rophe’ka (that healeth thee).”
Shemoth (Exodus) 16:4 – “Then said Yahuah unto Mosheh, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in My Torah, or no.”
Shemoth (Exodus) 16:28-29 – “And Yahuah said unto Mosheh, How long refuse ye to guard My commandments and My Torah? See, for that Yahuah hath given you the Shabbath, therefore He giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.”
Devariym (Deuteronomy) 8:3 – “That He might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of Yahuah doth man live.”
Yochanon (John) 6:35 – “And Yahusha said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to Me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on Me shall never thirst.”
Yahuah faithfully provides every need of His people, but His blessings are never separated from obedience. He commands His people to guard His Torah, honour His set apart Shabbath, depend upon His daily provision, and trust Him rather than their own resources.
Stand Firm and Let Yahuah Fight for You
The crossing of the Red Sea demonstrates one of Scripture’s clearest pictures of yeshu’a (salvation) by the mighty hand of Yahuah. Surrounded by the sea before them and Pharaoh’s army behind them, Yashar’el possessed neither the strength nor the ability to save themselves. Yahuah alone opened the sea, defeated the enemy, and delivered His people. Likewise, when Amaleq attacked in the wilderness, victory came only as Mosheh depended upon Yahuah while Yahusha led the battle according to His instruction. These events teach that the victories of Yahuah’s people are never accomplished by human strength but through steadfast faith, obedience, prayer, and dependence upon His power. The believer’s responsibility is to stand firm, trust His promises, and faithfully obey while Yahuah accomplishes the victory.
Shemoth (Exodus) 14:13-14 – “And Mosheh said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see אֶת the yeshu’a (salvation) of Yahuah, which He will shew to you to day: for אֶת the Mitsriym whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. Yahuah shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”
Shemoth (Exodus) 17:11 – “And it came to pass, when Mosheh held up his hand, that Yashar’el prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amaleq prevailed.”
Shofetiym (Judges) 4:14 – “And Deborah said unto Baraq, Up; for this is the day in which Yahuah hath delivered Sisera into thine hand: is not Yahuah gone out before thee? So Baraq went down from Mount Tavor, and ten thousand men after him.”
2nd Divrei Hayamiym (Chronicles) 20:15 – “And he said, Hearken ye, all Yahudah, and ye inhabitants of Yerushalayim, and thou king Yehushaphat, Thus saith Yahuah unto you: Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but Elohiym’s.”
1st Qorintiym (Corinthians) 10:1-4 – “Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; And were all baptized unto Mosheh in the cloud and in the sea; And did all eat the same ruach (spiritual) meat; And did all drink the same ruach (spiritual) drink: for they drank of that Ruach Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Mashiach.”
**The commandment is to reject fear of the enemy, unbelief, and self-reliance. Yahuah calls His people to stand firm in faith, persevere in prayer, obey His instructions, and trust that every ruach victory belongs to Him. As He delivered Yashar’el through the sea and sustained them in the wilderness, so He continues to fight for those who faithfully walk in and guard His covenant.
Hebrew Link Words
Beshalach (bə·šal·laḥ) (בְּשַׁלַּ֣ח) — “When Sent Out” — Strong’s Hebrew word 7971 [e]
The Hebrew word בְּשַׁלַּ֣ח (Beshalach) which comes from the Hebrew primitive root to send away, for, or out (in a great variety of applications) — X any wise, appoint, bring (on the way), cast (away, out), conduct, X earnestly, forsake, give (up), grow long, lay, leave, let depart (down, go, loose), push away, put (away, forth, in, out), reach forth, send (away, forth, out), set, shoot (forth, out), sow, spread, stretch forth (out).
Nissi (nis·sî) (נִסִּֽי׃) — “is my banner” — Strong’s Hebrew word 5251 [e]
The Hebrew word נִסִּֽי׃ (Nissi) which comes from the Hebrew root word נֵס (Nes) which means a banner, standard, flag, ensign, signal or signal flag. Yahuah only wants us to raise Him as our banner for He is our signal flag and He alone is the only banner that the world should see us display. Therefore we should not have any other banners, flags or ensigns displayed on our property, houses, in our houses or anywhere else..
I have seen people who claim to be followers of Yahuah and His Son Yahusha Ha’Mashiach, leaders of groups of believers, who have flags on their properties and in their houses that represent worldly principles and ideas that are totally against what Father Yahuah stands for. I have seen that even though they do not claim to follow these principles, their actions have proven otherwise and that the true meanings of these flags are embed deep within their hearts. All of the flags of the world carry very distinct symbols and esoteric meanings that we cannot begin to understand fully. They contain symbols that fallen ruacoth entities use as signals to their human followers.
Please take a deep look at the flags you display and what they really represent to the world, to you, and most importantly, what they mean to Father Yahuah.

Reflection & Self-Study Questions
- Yahuah deliberately led the children of Yashar’el by the longer way through the wilderness rather than the easier road.
When Yahuah’s direction differs from my own plans or expectations, do I trust His wisdom, or do I question His leading because I cannot yet see His purpose? - Yahuah stood between Yashar’el and the army of Mitsrayim as the Pillar of Cloud and Fire, protecting His people from their enemies.
Do I trust Yahuah to fight the battles that are beyond my ability, or do I rely primarily upon my own strength and understanding and that of other people? - Mosheh declared, “Fear ye not, stand still, and see אֶת the yeshu’a (salvation) of Yahuah.”
When I face impossible circumstances, do I respond with fear and complaint, or with faith that Yahuah is able to accomplish what I cannot? - After witnessing Yahuah’s miraculous deliverance at the Red Sea, the people sang praises unto Him, yet only a short time later they began murmuring in the wilderness.
Is my praise for Yahuah constant, or does my gratitude quickly disappear when new trials and difficulties arise? - At Marah, Yahuah turned bitter waters into sweet waters and revealed Himself as Yahuah Rophe’ka, the One who heals.
Are there areas of bitterness, disappointment, or hurt in my life that I need to surrender to Yahuah so that He can bring healing and restoration? - Yahuah provided manna from heaven each day to teach His people to depend upon Him and to prove whether they would walk in His Torah.
Am I learning to depend upon Yahuah daily for both my physical and ruach needs, or do I place greater confidence in my own resources and abilities? - Yahuah commanded the people to gather a double portion on the sixth day and to guard His setapart Shabbath.
Do I honour Yahuah’s appointed times and trust His provision enough to rest when He commands me to rest? - Some of the people ignored Yahuah’s instructions concerning the manna and attempted to gather or keep it according to their own understanding.
Are there commandments of Yahuah that I knowingly compromise because I believe my way is more practical or convenient? - Victory over Amaleq came as Mosheh, Aharon, Chur, and Yahusha each faithfully fulfilled the role Yahuah had given them.
Am I faithfully carrying out the responsibilities Yahuah has entrusted to me while also allowing others within the body to strengthen and support me when I grow weary? - Throughout Beshalach, Yahuah repeatedly demonstrated that every deliverance, every provision, every victory, and every act of protection came from His mighty hand alone.
Does my daily life reflect complete dependence upon Yahuah, recognizing that every blessing, victory, and provision comes from Him, or do I still seek to accomplish His work through my own strength?
