Tehilliym (Psalms) 46
A psalm of consolation in Elohiym and set-apart confidence in His desire to save Yashar’el.
Introduction:
Tehilliym 46 is a powerful psalm that assures us Elohiym is always there to help His people and to provide refuge, security and peace even when they are under attack. It reminds us that His power and victory over everything is certain and that He will never fail to rescue those who love Him.
It is another psalm thought to have been written by the descendants of Qorach. It is believed to have been written during the time of King Hezekiah when Yashar’el was miraculously saved by the angel of Yahuah when He defeated the invading Assyrians under the leadership of Senacherib in 701 B.C.
Tehilliym 46 (KJV-YS):
Verse 1: The Security of Elohiym
“1. To the chief musician for the sons of Qorach, A Song upon Alamoth. Elohiym is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
Insights:The psalmist declares that Elohiym is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Luqas (Luke) 13:34 – “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not! ”
Ivriym (Hebrews) 6:18 – “18. That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for Elohiym to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: 19. Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; 20. Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Yahusha, made an High Priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.”
Summary: While the nations of the world rely on strong military defenses and the knowledge and understanding of men. The people and children of Yahuah, also known as the children of Yashar’el, have the power and might of Elohiym to help us when we are in trouble.
Verses 2-3: Do Not Fear Even When the World is Falling Apart
“2. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 3. Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.“
Insights:When the world around us seems to be in total chaos and there are disasters everywhere, we are not to fear because Yahuah has everything under control.

Summary: No matter what is going on in the world around us, we should not fear because Yahuah is the only thing we should fear. If we fear and obey Yahuah, we do not have anything to fear because He will provide for us.
Verses 4–5: The Provisions for the City of Elohiym
“4.There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of Elohiym, the set-apart place of the tabernacles of El Elyon (The Most High). 5. Elohiym is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: Elohiym shall help her, and that right early.”
Insights:The psalmist proclaims that Elohiym will be in the midst of the city providing for it while it is under attack.

1st Qorintiym (Corinthiams) 3:16 – 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of Elohiym, and that the Spirit of Elohiym dwelleth in you?
Summary: All of the cities of Elohiym, from the garden of Eden all the way to the new Jerusalem, have rivers of water that run through them. He will always provide safety and peace for His city.
Verses 6–7: The Mighty Power of Yahuah
“6. The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: He uttered His voice, the earth melted. 7. Yahuah Tseva’oth (The Lord of hosts) is with us; the Elohiym of Ya’aqov is our refuge. Selah.“
Insights:The psalmist says that those who do not follow Yahuah will rage but He will destroy their kingdoms and that His voice alone melted the earth.

Summary: No matter what the nations do or even when the entire earth has turned away and rebelled against Yahuah, He will prevail and will always be the refuge of His people
Verses 8–9: Yahuah the Warrior
“8. Come, behold the works of Yahuah, what desolations He hath made in the earth. 9. He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; He breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; He burneth the chariot in the fire.”
Insights: The works of Yahuah surpass anything that man can comprehend. He made the earth and has the ability to do whatever He wants to. He can stop wars and destroy the weapons of His enemies.

Summary: As the world today is speeding towards the return of Yahusah Ha’Mashiach, all of the wars and turmoil that is going on will be stopped by Yahuah.
Verses 10–11: Elohiym Exalted
“10. Be still, and know that I am Elohiym: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. 11. Yahuah Tseva’oth is with us; the Elohiym of Ya’aqov is our refuge. Selah.”
Insights: Elohiym tells His people to be still and know that He will be exalted in the earth and that He alone is our refuge.

Summary: The final verse of psalm 46 remind us that we are to know that Yahuah is Elohiym of earth and Heaven and that all peoples, the righteous and the heathen, will exalt Yahuah and He will always be the refuge for the children of Yashar’el.
Conslusion: Tehelliym 46 is a psalm of trust and assurance, highlighting Elohiym as our refuge and our source of strength. It emphasizes that Elohiym is a present help in times of trouble and that despite the chaos and upheaval of the world around us, Yahuah will ultimately bring peace and justice. The psalm encourages people to trust in Yahuah’s power and protection, even in the face of adversity.
Tehilliym (Psalms) 47
A call to the nations of the earth to Praise Yahuah as their King.
Introduction:
Tehilliym 47 is a psalm of praise, a call to worship and the celebration of Elohiyms Kingship over all the earth. It tells of how the people will rejoice when the true King rules the earth. It reminds us that Elohiym will subdue the entire earth and His chosen people, Yashar’el, will be placed above those who are not His people.
Tehilliym 47 (KJV-YS):Verses 1-4:
Yahuah King of All the Earth
“1. O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto Elohiym with the voice of triumph. 2.For Yahuah most high is terrible; He is a great King over all the earth. 3. He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet. 4. He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Ya’aqov whom He loved. Selah.”
Insights: The psalmist calls for all the people to praise Yahuah because He is the most high and the King over all the earth.
Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 31:7 – “For thus saith Yahuah; Sing with gladness for Ya’aqov, and shout among the chief of the nations: publish ye, praise ye, and say, O Yahuah, save Thy people, the remnant of Yashar’el.”
Mattithyahu (Matthew) 25:34 – “Then shall the King say unto them on His right hand, Come, ye blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: ”
Summary: Those who love Yahuah will enjoy the enumerable blessings that come from the great King. He will subdue those who did not love Him and put them under those who do love Him. The love that Yahuah shows for us is because of the covenant He made with Ya’aqov.
Verses 5-9: Praising Elohiym
“5. Elohiym is gone up with a shout, Yahuah with the sound of a trumpet. 6. Sing praises to Elohiym, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises. 7. For Elohiym is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding. 8. Elohiym reigneth over the heathen: Elohiym sitteth upon the throne of his set-apartness. 9. The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the Elohiym of Avraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto Elohiym: He is greatly exalted.”
Insights: The imagery portrayed in these verses is Messianic in relating to Yahusha Ha’Mashiach’s second return.

Summary: We are to constantly sing praises to our Father Yahuah who is King of all the earth. Once again the psalmist makes it clear that these promise are for the people who have entered into covenant with Yahuah just as Avraham did.
Conclusion: Tehilliym 47 is a psalm of jubilant praise and celebration, exalting Elohiym’s sovereignty over all the earth. It urges us to praise Yahuah with loud songs of joy and applause, recognizing His rule and dominion over all nations. The psalm highlights Elohiym’s victory over all peoples and nations, His ascension to His throne, and His ultimate reign over all the earth.
