Tehilliym (Psalms) 58
The complaint of one who, though oppressed by enemies, nevertheless trusts in Elohiym.
To the chief Musician upon Jonathelemrechokim, Michtam of Da’vid, when the Philistines took him in Gath.
Introduction:
Tehilliym 58 is a psalm that was written by Da’vid and is an imprecatory psalm, meaning it contains curses or prayers for divine vengeance against the wicked. Written by Da’vid during a time of intense injustice, possibly while he was a fugitive from king Sha’ul’s corrupt court, the psalm denounces unjust rulers who abuse their power and fail to uphold righteousness. It contrasts the inherent wickedness of these leaders with Elohiym’s ultimate justice, expressing a fierce desire for Elohiym to judge and destroy the oppressors, ensuring that the righteous will eventually rejoice in their downfall.
Tehilliym 58 (KJV-YS):
Verses 1-2: Calling-Out Unrighteous Judges
Insights: The psalm begins with Da’vid asking two major questions to those who are in positions of authority over the children of Yashar’el; do they speak righteousness and do they judge uprightly? This corruption of the judges had come about because of Yashar’el’s desire to have a man king over them like the other nations instead of letting Yahuah be their King.
“1. Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O assembly? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men? 2. Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.”
v-1
Devariym (Deuteronomy) 16:18-19 – “Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates, which Yahuah Elohayka giveth thee, throughout thy tribes: and they shall judge the people with just judgment. Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.”
2nd Shemu’el (Samuel) 23:3 – “The Elohiym of Yashar’el said, the Rock of Yashar’el spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of Elohiym.”
Tehilliym (Psalms) 9:7-8 – “But Yahuah shall endure for ever: He hath prepared His throne for judgment. And He shall judge the world in righteousness, He shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.”
v-2
Tehilliym (Psalms) 90:20 – “Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?”
Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 26:7 – “The way of the just is uprightness: Thou, Most Upright, do weigh the path of the just.”
Reflection: Rulers and judges set over the people are supposed to rule with the fear of Elohiym in their hearts. They are not to do it for their personal gain but are to rule and judge just as Yahusha Ha’Mashiach is going to do one day soon, in righteousness and uprightness.
Verse 3: Born Wicked
Insights: The psalm states that truly wicked people are created that way and they speak lies as soon as they are born.
“3. The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.”
Cross References:
v-3
Mishlei (Proverbs) 16:4-5 – “Yahuah hath made all things for Himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil. Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to Yahuah: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.”
Mishlei (Proverbs) 22:15 – “Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.”
Eph’siym (Ephesians) 2:3 – “Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.”
Reflection: We are all born into sin and iniquity and we must all make a conscious decision every breath of every day which way we are going to go. Are we going to follow Yahuah or are we going to follow what we want to do?
Verses 4-9: Judgment On the Judges
Insights: Da’vid rebukes the judges again and compares them to poisonous snakes who cannot be charmed, who will receive just compensation for their unrighteous judgments.
“4. Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear; 5. Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely. 6. Break their teeth, O Elohiym, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O Yahuah. 7. Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces. 8. As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun. 9. Before your pots can feel the thorns, He shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in His wrath.”
Cross References:
v-4
Tehilliym (Psalms) 140:3 – “They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders’ poison is under their lips. Selah.”
Romaiym (Romans) 3:13 – “Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:”
v-5

Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 8:17 – “For, behold, I will send serpents, cockatrices, among you, which will not be charmed, and they shall bite you, saith Yahuah.”
v-6
Tehilliym (Psalms) 3:7 – “Arise, O Yahuah; save me, O Elohai: for Thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; Thou hast broken the teeth of the wicked.”
Iyov (Job) 4:10 – “The roaring of the lion, and the voice of the fierce lion, and the teeth of the young lions, are broken.”
v-7
Tehilliym (Psalms) 112:10 – “The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.”
Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 13:6-7 – “Howl ye; for the day of Yahuah is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the El Shaddai (Almighty). Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart shall melt:”
v-8
Qoheleth (Ecclesiastes) 6:3 – “If a man beget an hundred children, and live many years, so that the days of his years be many, and his soul be not filled with good, and also that he have no burial; I say, that can untimely birth is better than he.”
Mattithyahu (Matthew) 24:35 – “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away.”
v-9
Tehilliym (Psalms) 10:2-4 – “The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined. For the wicked boasteth of his heart’s desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom Yahuah abhorreth. The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after Elohiym: Elohiym is not in all his thoughts.”
Mishlei (Proverbs) 10:25 – “As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.”
Reflection: The psalm shows how dangerous the words of unrighteous rulers and judges are and how much damage they do the people of Yahuah. Da’vid then transitions to their ultimate demise if they do not change their wicked ways.
Verses 10-11: Rewards for the Righteous
Insights: Da’vid tells of how the righteous will one day rejoice when they see the vengeance of Yahuah executed upon the wicked and that men will say that there is a reward for the righteous through the judgment of the earth by Elohiym.
“10. The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. 11. So that a man shall say, Truly there is a reward for the righteous: truly He is an Elohiym that judgeth in the earth.”
Cross References:
v-10
Tehilliym (Psalms) 18:46-49 – “Yahuah liveth; and blessed be my Rock; and let the Elohiym of my salvation be exalted. It is Elohiym that avengeth me, and subdueth the people under me. He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, Thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: Thou hast delivered me from the violent man. Therefore will I give thanks unto Thee, O Yahuah, among the heathen, and sing praises unto Thy name.”
Chazon (Revelation) 19:1-3 – “And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Hallelu’Yah (Bless and Praise Yahuah); Yeshu’ah (Salvation), and glory, and honour, and power, unto Yahuah Elohaynu (our Elohiym): For true and righteous are His judgments: for He hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of His servants at her hand. And again they said, Hallelu’Yah. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.”
v-11
Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 32:18-19 – “ Thou shew lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompense the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: Ha’Gadol, Ha’El Gibbor (the Great, the Mighty Elohiym), Yahuah Tseva’oth (the Lord of hosts), is His name, great in counsel, and mighty in work: for Thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:”
Romaiym (Romans) 2:5-11 – “But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of Elohiym; Who will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the Truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Yahudiy (Jew) first, and also of the other nations (Gentile); But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Yahudiy first, and also to the other nations: For there is no respect of persons with Elohiym.”
Reflection: Da’vid’s faith lets him know that the wicked are already defeated and that they will receive their just reward for the evil they did and the righteous will receive their reward for the righteous works they have done.
Conclusion:
Psalm 58 is a confident affirmation of Elohiym’s ultimate justice, as the righteous will rejoice when they see His retribution upon the wicked, and people will acknowledge His reward for the righteous and His role as judge of the entire earth. The psalm anticipates a future where divine justice is executed, bringing gladness to the righteous and a confirmation that a Elohiym who judges the earth exists, providing hope and reassurance against earthly injustice.
It is my personal opinion that we are not to pray for Father Yahuah’s vengeance on anyone, no matter if they are seeking to do us wrong or if we think that they are workers of evil and iniquity. I believe that we have been called to love our enemies, bless those who curse us, do good to those who hate us and pray for those that despitefully use and persecute us. There is no reward for loving someone who already loves us. This is a very difficult principle to live by but it is the way our Adonai Yahusha Ha’Mashiach walked and if we say we are His talmidiym (disciples), then should we not walk the same way He did?
Tehilliym (Psalms) 59
The psalmist cries for deliverance from oppression from violent and wicked enemies.
To the chief Musician, Altaschith, Michtam of Da’vid; when Sha’ul sent, and they watched the house to kill him.
Introduction:
Tehilliym 59 is another imprecatory psalm of Da’vid, written during his persecution by king Sha’ul, as he prayed for deliverance from enemies who were plotting to kill him without cause. Da’vid describes these adversaries as vicious, bloodthirsty men, who behave like dogs prowling and snarling at night, waiting to ambush him. He pleads with Elohiym to arise, punish his enemies, and deliver him, trusting that Elohiym is his strength and fortress. The psalm moves from a desperate cry for help to a confident declaration of Elohiym’s justice and steadfast love, anticipating a morning of triumph and praise.
Tehilliym 59 (KJV-YS):
Verses 1-2: Deliverance from the Workers of Iniquity
Insights: Da’vid calls for Elohiym to deliver him from his enemies, those that rise up against him, the workers of iniquity and bloody men.
“1. Deliver me from mine enemies, O Elohai (my Elohiym): defend me from them that rise up against me. 2. Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men.”
v-1
1st Shemu’el (Samuel) 19:11 – “Sha’ul also sent messengers unto Da’vid’s house, to watch him, and to slay him in the morning: and Miykal (Michal) Da’vid’s woman (wife) told him, saying, If thou save not thy life to night, to morrow thou shalt be slain.”
Tehilliym (Psalms) 143:9-12 – “Deliver me, O Yahuah, from mine enemies: I flee unto Thee to hide me. Teach me to do Thy will; for Thou art my Elohiym: Thy Ruach (Spirit) is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. Quicken me, O Yahuah , for Thy name’s sake: for Thy righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble. And of Thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am Thy servant.”
2nd Timotheus (Timothy) 4:17-18 – “Notwithstanding Yahuah stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the other nations might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. And Yah shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto His heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amein.”
v-2:
Tehilliym (Psalms) 110:1-2 – “Yahuah said unto my Adonai (Lord), Sit Thou at My right hand, until I make Thine enemies Thy footstool. Yahuah shall send the rod of Thy strength out of Zion: rule Thou in the midst of Thine enemies.”
Ma’asiym (Acts) 2:34-36 – “For Da’vid is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, Yahuah said unto my Adonai, Sit Thou on My right hand, until I make Thy foes Thy footstool. Therefore let all the house of Yashar’el know assuredly, that Elohiym hath made that same Yahusha, whom ye have crucified, both Adonai and Mashiach (Christ).
Reflection: We have an High Priest that has went through the same things and worse than what we are going through, and Yahuah delivered Him just as He delivered Da’vid, and Father Yahuah will also deliver us from those who work iniquity and bloody men.
Verses 3-5: Calling on Yahuah the Elohiym of the Host of Heaven
Insights: Da’vid cries out to Yahuah as his enemies persecute him without cause and calls on Him to not be merciful to any wicked transgressors.
“3. For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O Yahuah. 4. They run and prepare themselves without my fault: awake to help me, and behold. 5. Thou therefore, O Yahuah Elohiym Tseva’oth (of Hosts), the Elohai of Yashar’el, awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah.”
Cross References:
v-3
Tehilliym (Psalms) 69:4-5 – “They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away. O Elohiym, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee.”
Yochanon (John) 15:25– “But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their writings, they hated Me without a cause. ”
v-4
Tehilliym (Psalms) 5:5-6 – “The foolish shall not stand in Thy sight: Thou hate all workers of iniquity. Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: Yahuah will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.”
Mishlei (Proverbs) 1:16-18 – “For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood. Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird. And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives.”
v-5
Bere’shiyth (Genesis) 33:20 – “ And he erected there an altar, and called it El Elohai Yashar’el (El-elohe-Israel).”
Shemoth (Exodus) 3:14-15– “And Elohiym said unto Mosheh, Ehayah Asher Ehayah (I AM THAT I AM): and He said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Yashar’el, Ehayah (I AM) hath sent me unto you. And Elohiym said moreover unto Mosheh, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Yashar’el, Yahuah Elohai (the Lord Elohiym) of your fathers, the Elohiym of Avraham, the Elohiym of Yitschaq, and the Elohiym of Ya’aqov, hath sent me unto you: this is My name for ever, and this is My memorial unto all generations.”
Chazon (Revelation) 7:2-4 – “And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living Elohiym: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our Elohiym in their foreheads. And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Yashar’el.”
Reflection: Da’vid calls on Yahuah to awake, as the leader of the armies in heaven, and persecute those who are lying in wait for his soul to do him harm. It is a hard thing to not want to hurt those that hurt us for no reason, but we must do as Da’vid does hear and call on Yahuah to be the one who persecutes our enemies.
Verses 6-7: Backbiting Dogs
Insights: Da’vid compare his oppressors to dogs who belch out dangerous words.
“6. They return at evening: they make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city. 7. Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lips: for who, say they, doth hear?”
v-6
Tehilliym (Psalms) 59:14 – “And at evening let them return; and let them make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.”
Chazon (Revelation) 22:13-16 – “I am the א (Aleph) and the ת (Tav), the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. I Yahusha have sent Mine angel to testify unto you these things in the called out assemblies. I am the root and the offspring of Da’vid, and the bright star rising in the morning.”
v-7
Tehilliym (Psalms) 57:4 – “My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.”
Tehilliym (Psalms) 10:11 – “He hath said in his heart, Elohiym hath forgotten: He hides His face; He will never see it.”
Reflection: The psalm shows how the unrighteous are like dogs but the righteous who keep Yahuah’s commandments are protected by Him and will not have to worry about the dogs/wolves who will be left without the city when Yahusha Ha’Mashiach returns.
Verses 8-10: Yahuah Laughs at the Heathen
Insights: Da’vid acknowledges Yahuah as the Elohiym of his defence and mercy, that he will wait upon Yah because he knows that He has the heathen in constant derision and laughs at what their wicked plans ultimately lead them to.
“8. But thou, O Yahuah, shalt laugh at them; Thou shalt have all the heathen in derision. 9. Because of his strength will I wait upon Thee: for Elohiym is my defence. 10. The Elohai of my mercy shall prevent me: Elohiym shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies.”
Cross References:
v-8
Tehilliym (Psalms) 2:4 – “Yahuah shall laugh at him: for He seeth that his day is coming.”
Tehilliym (Psalms) 37:13 – “He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: Yahuah shall have them in derision. ”
v-9
Tehilliym (Psalms) 62:1-2 – “Truly my soul waiteth upon Elohiym: from Him cometh my salvation. He only is my Rock and my salvation; He is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. ”
Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 12:2 – “Behold, Elohiym is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for Yah Yahuah is my strength and my song; He also is become my salvation.”
v-10
Tehilliym (Psalms) 54:7 – “For He hath delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen His desire upon mine enemies.”
Eph’siym (Ephesians) 2:4-5 – “But Elohiym, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Mashiach (Christ), (by grace ye are saved;) ”
1st Kepha (Peter) 5:10 – “But the Elohiym of all grace, who hath called us unto His eternal glory by Mashiach Yahusha (Christ Jesus), after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.”
Reflection: The plans of all of mankind are meaningless to Yahuah and the plans He has for those whom He chooses to have mercy on cannot be prevented by the heathen. Yahuah literally laughs at their plans to hurt those who live righteously. Yah will always be our strength and defence and we will see and understand His great plan of salvation and redemption one day soon when we meet His Son Yahusha Ha’mashiach.
Verses 11-13: The Patience of Yahuah
Insights: Da’vid calls for Yahuah to not slay them so that Yashar’el doesn’t quickly forget what happens to unrighteous rulers who pervert the commandments of Yahuah for their own gain.
“11. Slay them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by Thy power; and bring them down, O Adonai our shield. 12. For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak. 13. Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be: and let them know that Elohiym ruleth in Ya’aqov unto the ends of the earth. Selah.”
v-11
Devariym (Deuteronomy) 4:27 – “And Yahuah shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither Yahuah shall lead you.”
Tehilliym (Psalms) 84:10-12 – “For a day in Thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my Elohiym, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. For Yahuah Elohai is a sun and shield: Yahuah will give grace and glory: no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly. O Yahuah Tseva’oth, blessed is the man that trusteth in Thee.”
v-12
Mishlei (Proverbs) 12:13-14 – “The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble. A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man’s hands shall be rendered unto him.”
Mattithyahu (Matthew) 26:24 – “The Son of A’dam as it is written of Him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of A’dam is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.”
v-13
Tehilliym (Psalms) 83:18 – “That men may know that Thou, whose name alone is Yahuah (JEHOVAH), art El Elyon (the Most High) over all the earth.”
Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 54:5 – “For thy Maker is thine husband; Yahuah Tseva’oth is His name; and thy Redeemer the Set-Apart One of Yashar’el; The Elohiym of the whole earth shall He be called.”
Reflection: The wicked rulers and those who sided with them are cursed by Da’vid to be an example to the people of what happens to those who think Yahuah will not bring His wrath upon them for the unrighteousness they have sown and that He alone is Elohiym over all that is in the earth.
Verses 14-15: The Dogs Return at Night
Insights: The dogs have returned to try and catch Da’vid in his house at night time but he calls on Yahuah to confuse them as dogs hunting for meat.
“14. And at evening let them return; and let them make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.
15. Let them wander up and down for meat, and grudge if they be not satisfied.”
Cross References:
v-14
Tehilliym (Psalms) 22:16 – “For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.”
v-15
Devariym (Deuteronomy) 28:48 – “Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which Yahuah shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and He shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until He have destroyed thee.”
Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 56:11 – “Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.”
Mattithyahu (Matthew) 7:15 – “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.”
Reflection: The enemy is often portrayed as a canine, usually a dog or a wolf, and they are often used to show deceit and unrighteousness. The wolf will never lay down with the lamb and the lion will kill the dogs. Let us all be aware of wolves in sheep’s clothing.
Verses 16-17: Praising Yahuah in the Morning
Insights: Da’vid concludes the psalm with praising Elohiym with song for His mercy in the morning and for being his defence, refuge and strength.
“16. But I will sing of Thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of Thy mercy in the morning: for Thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble. 17. Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for Elohiym is my defence, and the Elohai of my mercy.”
v-16
Tehilliym (Psalms) 138:7 – “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, Thou wilt revive me: Thou shalt stretch forth Thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and Thy right hand shall save me.”
Ivriym (Hebrews) 4:16 – “Who in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto Him that was able to save Him from death, and was heard in that He feared; Though He were a Son, yet learned He obedience by the things which He suffered; And being made perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him; ”
v-17
Shemoth (Exodus) 15:2-3 – “Yahuah is my strength and song, and He is become my salvation: He is my Elohiym, and I will prepare Him an habitation; my father’s Elohiym, and I will exalt Him. Yahuah is a man of war: Yahuah is His name.”
Philippiym (Philippians) 4:13 – “I can do all things through Mashiach Who strengths me.”
Reflection: Through the good and the bad, we should be just like Da’vid and praise Yahuah at all times for His grace, mercy and salvation. Yah is a man of war, it is His battle and it is already won!!
Conclusion:
Psalm 59 is a prayer of Da’vid for deliverance from treacherous enemies who are plotting against him. Despite being surrounded by danger, Da’vid chooses to rely on Elohiym as his stronghold and source of unwavering love. The psalm contrasts the snarling, slanderous behavior of his enemies with Da’vid’s confident faith, as he anticipates Elohiym’s just judgment and praises Him for His strength and faithfulness.
