Tehilliym (Psalms) 67

A psalm reflecting Yashar’el, as Elohiym’s priests to the nations.

To the chief Musician to be played on a Neginoth, A Psalm or Song.

Introduction:

Tehilliym (Psalms) 67 is a communal prayer that centers on Yahuah’s desire to bless His people so that His way and salvation might be made known among all nations (the Gentiles). The psalm connects blessing with purpose—showing that favor from Yahuah is never meant to remain private, but to draw the nations into righteous order, joyful praise, and reverence for His just rule. It highlights a pattern seen throughout the Scriptures: when Yahuah blesses His people, the ultimate goal is that the earth would fear Him and walk in His ways.

Tehilliym 67 (KJV-YS):

Verses 1-2:

Insights: The psalmist begins with calling on Elohiym to be merciful unto His chosen people, Yashar’el, and bless them so that the world may know about Him and the wonderful ways that He blesses those who are obedient to Him.

“1. Elohiym be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause His face to shine upon us; Selah. 2. That Thy way may be known upon earth, Thy saving health among all nations.”

Tehilliym (Psalms) 119:135 –
“Make Thy face to shine upon Thy servant; and teach me Thy statutes.”
2nd Qorintiym (Corinthians) 4:6 –“For Elohiym, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of Elohiym in the face of Yahusha Ha’Mashiach.”
Eph’siym (Ephesians) 1:3 –
“Blessed be the Elohiym and Father of our Master Yahusha Ha’Mashiach, Who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Mashiach:”
Reflection:
The face of Elohiym will only shine upon those who are obedient to His commandments.

v-2: That Thy way may be known upon earth, Thy saving health among all nations.”
Yesha’yahu (Isaiah) 52:10 –“Yahuah hath made bare His set-apart arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the yeshu’ah (salvation) of our Elohiym.”
Titus (Titus) 2:11 –
“For the grace of Elohiym that bringeth yeshu’ah (salvation) hath appeared to all men,” Reflection: Yahusha Ha’Mashiach is the way of and the way to Elohiym the Father and no one can come unto the Father except through His Son Yahusha Ha’Mashiach.

Verse 3-5:

Insights: The psalmist calls for everyone to praise Elohiym, that the nations will be glad and sing for joy because He judges fairly and governs them accordingly and all the people will praise Elohiym for this.

“3. Let the people praise Thee, O Elohiym; let all the people praise Thee. 4. O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for Thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah. 5. Let the people praise Thee, O Elohiym; let all the people praise Thee.”

“O sing unto Yahuah a new song: sing unto Yahuah, all the earth. Sing unto Yahuah, bless His name; shew forth His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the heathen, His wonders among all people. For Yahuah is great, and greatly to be praised: He is to be feared above all elohiym.”

“Praising Elohiym, and having favour with all the people. And Yahuah added to the called-out assembly (the church) daily such as should be saved.”

“Because He hath appointed a day, in the which He will judge the world in righteousness by that Man whom He hath ordained; whereof He hath given assurance unto all men, in that He hath raised Him from the dead. ”
Reflection: Elohiym will not rule the earth as the leaders of today do, He will reign and judge the entire earth in truth and righteousness, rewarding everyone for the deeds they do and not for what they can do for Him.

v-5:
“Let the people praise Thee, O Elohiym; let all the people praise Thee.”
Tehilliym (Psalms) 45:17 –
“I will make Thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise Thee for ever and ever.”
Romaiym (Romans) 15:11 –
“And again, Praise Yahuah, all ye other nations; and laud Him, all ye people.”
Reflection: The psalmist repeats that all the people will praise Elohiym because He will rule in truth and righteousness, judging the earth without respect of persons.

Verses 6-7:

Insights: The psalmist lets us know that after we praise Elohiym that He will bless us with the increase of the land and that all the earth will fear Elohiym for His works.

“6. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and Elohiym, even our own Elohiym, shall bless us.
7. Elohiym shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.”

Cross References:
v-6: “Then shall the earth yield her increase; and Elohiym, even our own Elohiym, shall bless us.”
Vayiqra (Leviticus) 26:2-4 –“Ye shall keep My Shabbaths, and reverence My sanctuary: I am Yahuah. If ye walk in My statutes, and guard My commandments, and do them; Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.”
1st Qorintiym (Corinthians) 3:6-8 – “I have planted, Apollos watered; but Elohiym gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but Elohiym that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.”
Reflection:
Blessings from Elohiym are a direct result of us worshiping, praising and loving Elohiym and none of these things can be accomplished without true obedience to all of His commandments.

v-7: Elohiym shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.”
Yesha’yahu (Isaiah) 45:22 –
“Look unto Me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am Elohiym, and there is none else. I have sworn by Myself, the Word is gone out of My mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto Me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.”
Philippiym (Philippians) 2:9-11 –
“Wherefore Elohiym also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name:That at the name of Yahusha Ha’Mashiach every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Yahusha Ha’Mashiach is the glory of Elohiym the Father.”
Reflection:Blessings come through obedience and the fear of Elohiym comes from understanding that disobedience brings curses and the wrath of Elohiym upon those who choose to live in disobedience.

Conclusion:

Tehilliym 67 calls us to examine whether we view Yahuah’s blessing as a personal benefit or as a covenant responsibility. The psalm reveals that favor from Yahuah is given so that His ways may be known, His salvation made visible, and His righteous judgments established among all peoples. As the earth responds with increase and the nations respond with praise, we are reminded that obedience and gratitude invite continued blessing, while humility keeps our hearts aligned with His purpose and not our own. Ultimately, Tehilliym 67 teaches that when Yahuah’s people walk faithfully before Him, their lives become a testimony through which the whole earth is drawn to fear, honour, and praise Him.

Tehilliym (Psalms) 68 – Part 1

A song of praise to the ascended Elohiym Who brings yeshu’ah (salvation) to all nations.

To the chief Musician, A Psalm or Song of Da’vid.

Introduction:

Tehilliym (Psalms) 68 is a powerful victory psalm that proclaims Yahuah as the Mighty Warrior who rises to scatter His enemies and establish His righteous reign. It celebrates Yahuah’s presence among His people—from the wilderness journey to His dwelling place—showing Him as a defender of the fatherless, a judge of the oppressed, and the One who leads His redeemed in triumph. The psalm reveals a consistent scriptural theme: when Yahuah arises, chaos is driven back, justice is established, and His people are called to rejoice in His strength and salvation.

Tehilliym 68 (KJV-YS):

Verses 1-14:

Insights: The psalmist opens the psalm with calling on Elohiym to arise so that His enemies will be scattered and driven away but those who love Him, the righteous, will be glad and rejoice before Elohiym. He is the one that rides upon the heavens and is fair and equitable to all without showing partiality. Elohiym frees those who are oppressed but punishes those who rebel against Him, just as He did when He brought His chosen people, Yashar’el, out of Mitsrayim (Egypt). The psalmist reminds us that no matter what we go through in this life, as long as we are faithful to obey Elohiym, He will provide everything that we need when we need it and no matter how evil the world is, Elohiym will always prevail and give prosperity to Hi people.

“1. Let Elohiym arise, let His enemies be scattered: let them also that hate Him flee before Him. 2. As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of Elohiym. 3. But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before Elohiym: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice. 4. Sing unto Elohiym, sing praises to His name: extol Him that rideth upon the heavens by His name Yah, and rejoice before Him. 5. A Father of the fatherless, and a Judge of the widows, is Elohiym in His set-apart habitation. 6. Elohiym setteth the solitary in families: He bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land. 7. O Elohiym, when Thou wentest forth before Thy people, when Thou didst march through the wilderness; Selah: 8. The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of Elohiym: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of Elohiym, the Elohiym of Yashar’el. 9. Thou, O Elohiym, didst send a plentiful rain, whereby Thou didst confirm Thine inheritance, when it was weary. 10. Thy assembly hath dwelt therein: Thou, O Elohiym, hast prepared of Thy goodness for the poor. 11. Adonai (The Lord) gave the word: great was the company of those that published it. 12. Kings of armies did flee apace: and she that tarried at home divided the spoil. 13. Though ye have lien among the pots, yet shall ye be as the wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with yellow gold. 14. When El Shaddai (the Almighty) scattered kings in it, it was white as snow in Salmah.”

Reflection: The entire earth will have to worship and sing the praises of the true Creator Elohiym one way or the other, on their own or by His mighty power. His presence will be like no other and the entire creation will sing the praises of Elohiym.

v-5:“A Father of the fatherless, and a Judge of the widows, is Elohiym in His set-apart habitation.”

“Feed the flock of Elohiym which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being adoniym (lords) over Elohiym’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.”

v-11: “Adonai (The Lord) gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.”
Tehilliym (Psalms) 40:3-4 –
“And He hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our Elohiym: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in Yahuah. Blessed is that man that maketh Yahuah his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.”
Eph’siym (Ephesians) 4:11-12 –
“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the qodeshiym (saints), for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Mashiach:”
Chazon (Revelation) 19:12-15
“His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns; and He had a name written, that no man knew, but He himself. And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called The Word of Elohiym. And the armies which were in heaven followed Him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Yahuah Tseva’oth.”
Reflection: The goodness of Elohiym provides everything when it is needed according to His purpose for His set-apart assembly and the goodness Yahuah provides for His people causes them to sing about it and let everyone know so the fame of His word continues to spread by the praise of His qodeshiym (saints).

v-12: “Kings of armies did flee apace: and she that tarried at home divided the spoil.”
Shemoth (Exodus) 14:25“And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Mitsriym said, Let us flee from the face of Yashar’el; for Yahuah fighteth for them against the Mitsriym.”
Chazon (Revelation) 19:17-21“And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great Elohiym; That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him that sat on the horse, and against His army. And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the remnant were slain with the sword of Him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh. ”
Reflection: The kings of the earth have no power against the King of kings and the Elohiym of elohiym.

v-13: “Though ye have lien among the pots, yet shall ye be as the wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with yellow gold.”
Tehilliym (Psalms) 149:4-5 –
“For Yahuah taketh pleasure in His people: He will beautify the meek with yeshu’ah (salvation). Let the qodeshiym (saints) be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.”
Eph’siym (Ephesians) 2:1-3 – “And you hath He quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the ruach (spirit) that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.”
Reflection:
Yahuah turned Lazarus’ poverty here into riches for eternity. How great is Yahuah Elohaynu Tseva’oth!

v-14:
“When El Shaddai (the Almighty) scattered kings in it, it was white as snow in Salmah.”
Yesha’yahu (Isaiah) 1:18-20
“Come now, and let us reason together, saith Yahuah: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of Yahuah hath spoken it.”
Chaggai (Haggai) 2:22
“And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother.”
Mattithyahu (Matthew) 24:6-8 – “And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”
Reflection: Yahuah’s victory over His enemies is the final cleansing of everything that will teach the people to fear Yahuah and obey Him with all of their heart, soul, mind, strength and might.

Conclusion:

The opening verses of Tehilliym 68 reveal Yahuah as the Mighty One who arises to establish His authority, scattering wickedness and bringing joy to the righteous. As His presence moves forward, chaos gives way to order, and those who trust in Him find refuge in His strength. These verses remind us that Yahuah is not distant or passive; He actively intervenes in life to defend the fatherless, uphold the oppressed, and make a way for His people to enter into His beautiful rest.
The psalm also calls us to reflect on our fear and awe at Yahuah’s power and provision. His victories are not achieved through human strength, but through His sovereign will, which supplies rain to the weary and restores what is lacking. As Yahuah marches before His people, He transforms the wilderness into abundance and defeat into triumph. Tehilliym 68:1–14 ultimately teaches that when Yahuah goes before us, obedience and trust are the proper response, for His presence brings deliverance, restoration, and lasting security to those who obey and follow Him with their whole heart.
