Labor Day

A Holiday Celebrating Labor Rights?

3rd Day, Month 6, 4th
Tuesday August 26th, 2025

Greetings in the name of Father Yahuah and His Son Yahusha Ha’Mashiach! I hope this quick blog finds you in the blessings of Father Yahuah!

Labor day is celebrated in the United States of America on the first Monday in September and is a day used to honour the rights of workers. It was first celebrated in New York on September 5th, 1882 and was declared a national holiday to be observed on the first Monday of September by congress in 1894. This all sounds well and good on the surface, but if we look a little closer, we see that this day of celebration might be more than what we think it is.

The US and Canada have their labor day celebrations on the first Monday of September to mark summer coming to an end and the start of preparations for fall and winter when no work can be done. This date can also be seen as a counterfeit to Yom Teruah (The Feast of Trumpets) that occurs on the first day of the seventh biblical month which usually occurs sometime near the end of summer and marks the ending of the work season.

I pray this helps your walk with Father Yahuah in the way!
Shalom,
Minister Pat
