The Importance of the Fall Feast of Yahuah
Greetings to all my brothers and sisters in Father Yahuah and to the talmidiym (disciples) of His Son Yahusha Ha’Mashiach! I pray this post finds you and your loved ones in the grace and peace of Yahuah.
The year is continuing to zoom by and we are already into the sixth month of Yahuah’s year!! What a blessing it is to be in the called-out set-apart assembly of Mashiach Yahusha and to be set apart from the world in which we live.
The Feasts of Yahuah are divided into two categories, the first group of feasts commonly called the Spring Feasts of Yahuah and the second group of feasts commonly called the Fall Feasts of Yahuah. The Feasts of Yahuah are set-apart appointed times (Mo’ediym) instituted from the foundation of creation to worship and fellowship with Him and are central to Yahuah’s plan of salvation through His Son Yahusha Ha’Mashiach.
From the beginning, Yahuah’s Feast have been celebrated and used as an example of things to come. The feast in the beginning of the year were fulfilled by Mashiach Yahusha’s first coming and the fall feasts will be fulfilled by His second coming.
For those who are part of the called-out assembly, we should diligently prepare for each feast day. Each is a time when we are to truly come into the presence of Father Yahuah and the fall feasts carry a special significance as they will one day soon start to be fulfilled by the coming of Yahusha Ha’Mashiach.
Yom Teruah (The Feast of Trumpets) is the next major feast day and will be on the first day of the seventh month (September 23rd or 24th depending on crescent sighting) and is most likely the time of the much awaited and highly anticipated return of The King, Yahusha Ha’Mashiach (1st Thessalonians 4:16-17). It is also possible that Yom Teruah is when the seven trumpets will be blown to release the seven plagues during the seven years of tribulation. It is also believed to be when Mashiach Yahusha was born as it coincides with the timing of the events surrounding His birth. The first time I went to the Yerushalayim was during the Feast of Trumpets and it was an incredible time! The Ruach Ha’Qodesh was my guide, a rental car was my ride and it was truly one of the best times of my life!! On the flight home I sat with a man who said he made the trip every year during the Feast of Trumpets, if only for the day and this year he had been able to stay a few extra days after. I can’t wait for that day when we all can be at all of the Feasts with Mashiach Yahusha in Yerushalayim.
Yom Kippuriym (The Feast of Atonement) will be the tenth day of the seventh month and is in the process of being completely fulfilled. The command to observe and guard this day was given so the high priest could make an atonement for himself and the children of Yashar’el once a year directly before Father Yahuah. Mashiach has ascended as our High Priest and is continually making intercession for us as He sits on the right hand of the throne of Father Yahuah in His presence. We no longer have to have an earthly high priest make sacrifices for himself and us once a year, risk his life and go before Father Yahuah to make an atonement because Mashiach’s blood has once and all made an atonement for everyone’s sins once and for all. I believe Yom Kippuriym will be completely fulfilled when all of the called-out set-apart assembly will be in the direct presence of Father Yahuah Elohiym Tseva’oth and the redemption of Yahuah’s yesh’ua (salvation) will be complete!
Sukkoth (The Feast of Tabernacles) will start on the fifteenth day and will be held for seven days and was commanded to be guarded in remembrance of when Yahuah lead Yashar’el out of bondage and they had to live in booths (tabernacles, tents, sukkoth), simple living structures. This feast is also to remind us that we are the sukkoth that Father Yahuah and His Son Yahusha want to dwell in and not some third temple that is built by hands of man. My view on this feast is that it is continually going on in the called-out set-apart assembly as we are the body of Mashiach, we are to live as simply as possible in Him and He is to live in us just as He is in the Father. We are to dwell in the house of Yahuah forever as He is to dwell in us through His Ruach Elohiym. Sukkoth will be ultimately fulfilled when Father Yahuah Elohiym Tseva’oth’s Tabernacle will dwell with us and we will dwell with Him for eternity!!
In conclusion, preparation for all of The Feast of Yahuah should be undertaken with the utmost diligence as they are all a shadow of things to come.
