Yom Kippuriym
The Blueprint of a Biblical Day
Introduction:
Yom Kippuriym is the most solemn day of the year, a time for repentance and atonement for the people who guard covenant with Yahuah and walk in the set-apart way of His Torah. Yom Kippuriym is also the blueprint of how a true biblical day is supposed to be and it also clearly explains how every other Shabbath is supposed to be kept except for itself.
Statement of my belief:
I believe, from what the scriptures say and revelation from Ruach Elohiym, that the biblical day starts when the sun rises in the morning, the moment the sunrises, the morning and the previous day end. (Bere’shiyth 1:5b). The biblical day sequence is: Sunrise – Day – Evening – Night – Morning – Sunrise of New Day

Yom Kippuriym – The Biblical Day Blueprint:
The Torah for Yom Kippuriym can be found in Vayiqra 23:26-32. The commandment starts with verses 26 and 27a with Yahuah speaking to Mosheh telling him that on the tenth day of this seventh month there will be a day of atonement. The feast day is for the tenth day of the seventh month. Verses 27b thru 31 tell how the feast day is supposed to be celebrated and what it is for. In verse 32b we see something that is overlooked in the popular day definition being from evening to evening, and that is if the evening is the beginning of the day and it is the 9th day, then the feast day would be on the 9th day starting at evening, going through the night into the morning and 9th day and to the sunset where the evening of the tenth day would be the end and the feast day would not be the 10th day. The last part of 32 reads: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even to even, shall ye celebrate your Shabbath…There is no way that 2 days can consist in one span of evening to evening and still be able to keep the feast as prescribed here.
The sequence for Yom Kippuriym is:
The feast shall start on the evening of the 9th day and go thru the night and morning of the 9th day to the sunrise of the 10th day and thru the 10th day until the evening, from evening to evening, you shall celebrate your Shabbath.
Yom Kippuriym the Blueprint of a Shabbath:
The feast of Yom Kippuriym ends at evening on the tenth day as does every other Shabbath end at sundown (evening) as the night has already been set aside to rest from the day’s work. This is the only Shabbath that is instructed to be kept during the evening, night and morning. A Shabbath is a feast day that is to be kept during the day.
Conclusion:
The feast of Yom Kippuriym is not only the most set-apart feast day there is, but it is also a blueprint, a clarification or better yet, a clear illustration of what a true biblical day is according to the Mo’ediym of Yahuah . It also confirms that the Shabbath is only to be kept during the day. A day begins with the direct appearance of light so work can be done, ends when direct light vanishes and the cycle is complete the moment right before the light appears to start the cycle all over again.
The instructions for guarding Yom Kippuriym is just one of a few instances that I have found in scripture that clearly identify the sunrise as the start of the biblical day. A blog should be on it’s way after the fall feasts.
I pray this message has brought clarification to some of your questions on this day.
